Has the site been acting up for other people?

The site keps acting up for me and I want to know if it is just something wrong with it or if it is my computer. Has anyone else experianced it going VERY slow, or not being found? Those are the two main things that happen to me. Thank you! *snuggles all around*

Yes, both those things for me as well.  I was having big problems right before the spoil ban was to be lifted, now though it's all good.  I think the servers may have been getting slammed.

Yeah, we've been noticing the issue a while now.  But just before the release of a new book is not the right time to investigate migrating the site!  We'll figure out a solution.

Okay, thank you both for letting me know! I just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with my computer! It is not really a big deal, i just do school work while I wait for it to load, hahahe!!!! ;D ;) But really, Pris, you are sick, relax and go rest! The problems with the site are two fold from what I've been experiencing.

1) we're overloading apache or which ever httpd server they're using.  It freezes, and stops opening up threads for a while.  This is when you try to connect, and you just can't.
2) we occasionally are overloading the database.  That's when you try to post, or something, and you get those weird error pages.

I would suspect that the insane amount of people visiting is bogging everything down. 2 straight days of record numbers of guests and members tends to slow the pipeline a bit, I bet.

Considering how much Changes um... changes things I bet it will only get worse before it gets better (as people finish reading and come here for support!)

It also seems to be quite worse at breakfast/start of the workday, lunchtime, end of the workday, and not sure yet about evening.  Lunchtime is when I just give up.

i couldn't get on the site for two days, from my cousins computer. now i'm back at work i can, but everynow and then it's losing connection t the server.
