Question for Admins
« on: June 18, 2014, 04:52:08 PM »
Hi!
I actually have two questions.

1.  Are there any plans to make the forum mobile-friendly?
2.  Is there any thing I can do to help the forum?  I have lots of free time, am fairly computer savvy and a quick learner.  I'm also a total DF fangirl and I love this forum.

Thanks for all that you do!

Here's an old question and response related to this:

Hi there Admins:)

Does the forum support the Tapatalk mobile application?

Kind Regards

Nicodemus

Nope, sorry.  We make a point to install as few mods as possible.

As to your #2, Jim did a great deal of Q&A sessions and such over the past month, and transcriptions of them are always really hand for both quoting them in discussions on the series, and for sharing with the hearing impaired.

We have a topic dedicated to posting those transcriptions over here.

Oh, and I'm not an admin, I just play one on TV...

I mean, I'm not an admin, more like an archivist who likes to help out by quoting old posts, and who has been given some limited moderation abilities to assist in archiving things...

This is glorious and awesome and worthy of rapturous adulation and applause, but I feel like I'm missing something -- is there any table of contents where the transcripts in question are linked, or does one have to search through the thread?

The vast majority of the transcriptions have been transfered to the WoJ section in topics dedicated to the year the source audio/video was generated.  Many of the ones that have been transcribed since my becoming a curator still need transferrence, but there haven't been as many transcriptions since then, and people have been posting them in other areas.  There are topics in the WoJ seciton for those years as well though.
