With all the threads about custom dice, I asked for permission to pass along some info I received via email from Ann Dupuis of Grey Ghost Press and Fred Hicks of Evil Hat Productions.  Fred's stated this previously, but I asked for permission to re-interate it as there still seem to be many people looking for dice.

Later this year Grey Ghost will be releasing "Olympic Pearlized" fudge dice in gold, silver, and bronze.

Evil Hat will be releasing dresden-themed dice (not sure of the name yet), with translucent red with yellow markings (hellfire), blue with white markings (winter), and glow-in-the-dark green with black markings (ectoplasm).

Not sure on the time estimate; I was just given "later this year."

So exciting!

I helped Ann to pack up some dice yesterday, and I got to see prototypes of the Hellfire dice. They're kinda cool. I think she said that she's expecting to get the shipment of them some time in October (although of course the date will vary based on shipping time from China).

I'm sure that if the first sets sell reasonably well, the selection for the next batch will go up dramatically. I could see White Council-themed, Asian Element-themed, undead-themed, cop-themed... the list could go on and on. But they won't if the initial offering doesn't sell. We should get the word out on this as far and wide as possible.

We can do polls on what the various dice set should be!!!!!! Mister and Mouse dice, a set for each Court, Summer, of course, etc.........

Fred might hate that, though. First, of course, many many many sets of the first bunch need to be bought.

I like polls.  8)

Almost certainly. I'm sure we could imagine about a dozen sets that we think could/should be made without much effort. Fred & co. have to stake money that we'll buy what they actually make though. And it's easier to say what you want on a poll than to stake money on it. So buy what's made and you'll be basically voting with your money to have more dice made. Probably not in other flavors to be honest, at least not at first. I'm not familiar with the math behind all of it but to make your Cop/White Council/Summer/etc. dice the company has to be making enough money on that type of product for them to afford to write off a small run of these other color schemes. There's always the very real risk with any sort of side product like this that it ends up just sitting there taking up space in your warehouse and there's no really good way around it.
