DF Spoilers / Re: Maggie the Younger
« on: October 13, 2020, 03:13:00 PM »
My WAG is that Maggie is set up to marry a dragon.

It was supposed to be Charity but she rejected her magic and went with Michael. Then it would have been Molly. I think that was the other purpose Mab was grooming her for mentioned in CD. Now that will fall on Maggie, Probably in the next to last book before the BAT, there's time for the the Dresdenverse to advance six to 8 years and make her a teen bride. Charity had to be pretty young, 20-21 at most, whrn Siriothrax carried he off.

He'll need help for the lights and electricity, but plumbing(even hot water) is old tech and not something that he'll hex.

And as I said in another thread, Harry probably has a salary as the Winter Knight, he's just been too stubborn to ask for anything from Mab. Once the thought hits him that it's part of the deal he already made and his just due, it can most likely cover his expenses at the castle and the diamonds will do the renovations. Molly has an eight figure expense account, Harry can make do with a seven figure one.

He could just break down and ask Mab for his backpay. If she asks why he needs money after all this time, he can say to present a dwelling that upholds the standards of Winter. All the women in Harry's life now are image conscious. Mab and Molly both want him to dress in a more upscale fashion and I'm sure Lara will insist he not live in a hovel for her "visits".

I think any way to Demonreach would open up near the Outer Gates probably on the outside near them. It would explain how Rashid knows a way and could get there quickly. in TC.

There's also the question of if Harry could handle the binding in his exhausted state.

He could have taken one or two steps onto the island with her and buried her neck deep in the ground just by thinking about it. The binding could have waited while he took a nap and Alfred watched over her.

The way Stars and Stones was used made me think of Stonehenge, which was used for astronomical purposes. Perhaps something like that is a Stone Table for Starborn.

Stars and Stones is probably a Biblical reference. It was hinted at in CD when Harry caught the cracked jar with the name Wormwood. Wormwood falling from the heavens in the form of a disease carrying asteroid would be a disaster on the right scale for the second act of the BAT.

Harry could have potentially ended the threat of Nemesis even in his exhausted state. All he had to do is wait below deck until they were close enough to dock and have Alfred take custody of her. He might not have been able to fight but Justine would have been stuck until he had time to recover and complete the binding.

Think about it.  I would figure out how Mommies curse worked to keep Papa Raith from feeding and develop a charm to do that while I performed the horizontal mamba with my newlywed.  Effectively slapping a muzzle on her. I mean, he's inventive right?  He knocked up a proto vampire using unicorn rope.

Well since Leah was able to put the Red Court predator to sleep casually, She or Mab or Molly could give it to them as a wedding gift or an enchantment or their wedding rings.

I think this is Jim and he loves to punish Harry. So I can see Harry and Lara getting together on occasion and then 2 or 3 books down the line  they touch casually and burn each other.

Trouble with each other as they realize they have slowly spiraled together. Trouble with Eb when he finds out it's no longer a Marriage in Name only. Trouble with a White Court Rebellion. And finally big time Trouble with Molly.

That's enough for it's own book right there but you know this will all play out while dealing with some major threat, like getting the Walker out of Justine or ooohh even better , the child.

DF Spoilers / Re: Nicodemus theory spoilers, spoilers , spoilers

I think you guys are focusing on the wrong halves of these partnerships. Nicodemus is a big threat  but that is because Anduriel is partnered with him. Even bound as they are, the Denarians are some of the powers of the Dresdenverse. The brutal thugs are near peers to the elder powers of Summer and Winter. Their direct influence is limited by their mortal partners but they are still Fallen Angels will all their knowledge and power. Nic is merely the most competent and cooperative host they have acquired. By dint of that he is the leader and front man, but the Fallen are the ones ultimately calling the shots.

Did anyone else notice that Harry's staff has the Longinus spearhead on the cover? I guess that that's one weapon that can kill a Titan, but I didn't expect to see that artifact in play so soon.
