I was just wondering the same thing - some of them look interesting.

Oh god - this is one of my favorite "time waster" games...

Historically I've had the "can't picture anyone else" problem with Michael - EVERY scene I imagine an appropriately aged Liam Neeson.

For Murphy I like Kristen Bell.  This just works:

I like Charlize Theron for Mab.

For Marcone I like Ray Stevenson:

My sadness here is that I just don't have a Harry.  No one has ever seemed "perfect" to me.

I think I'm with Nightfall on this one - I've read the books.  Three times, and four for Storm Front because one of my daughters just started reading it - she said she was in chapter 6, so I opened it up to see where that was, and wound up finishing it.  :-|

But I don't see "copy of the books" and "true to the books" as the same thing - and I think that's what Nightfall's getting at.  We'd like stories that we haven't seen before, but which "click into" the book-verse properly and just add more flavor and depth to the story.  The Dresdenverse is the richest, most intricately crafted fictional verse I've ever encountered - there's a TON of room for new stuff that fits right in.

I can't decide if I'm hoping this is true or false - despite the potential, I see the odds of the industry getting it "right" as slim to none.

Cowl is Justin and Elaine is Kumori. Time to drag out this old theory again.

Cowl:
18. If Justin is dead, why no Death Curse?

Oh, very good point...  I realize casting the DC isn't "automatic," but still - someone as experienced as Justin?  You'd think he'd have gotten that in.

I think whether or not Molly is "human" or not anymore depends on how you define human.  I'd assume her anatomy is all the same,
(click to show/hide)

We do know that she's immortal now, but I'm not sure if I've gotten that directly from the books or from "informed statements" from online.

I have a really hard time not getting fixated on Ray Stevenson for Marcone.  More or less precisely as he was presented as Isaak Sirko in Dexter.  Sans the Russian traits, of course.  Perfect combo of suave businessman and incredibly dangerous.

Has anyone suggested Dianna Agron for Molly?

Yeah, I could go with Christina Hendricks too.  I thoroughly lusted after her on Mad Men.  :-)

Quantus: Oh, hey - just saw that you beat me to Theron as Mab.  Cool pic.

Ah, yeah - Aly Michalka works as Molly for sure.  I've just felt, though, that there are probably lots of gals that would work as Molly.  Only a few of the characters seem to have "obvious" castings to me.  Jared Padalecki as Harry had crossed my mind before - it could work, though I also have him firmly in the Sam Winchester box.  But he's a great actor as far as I can tell - even within the Supernatural context he's played variety because of the things that have gone on with his character, and he smashed 'em out of the park.  I've also considered Jim Caviezel for Harry.  Not quite tall enough, but taller than average at least.

For me Liam Neeson is Michael - case closed.  I can't read Michael parts without picturing him or someone thoroughly similar to him.  And yeah, Daniel Craig fits Nicodemus quite well for me.

Who's down for Charlize Theron as Mab?  And how about Michael Emerson as Butters?

Cheers,
Kip

Ok, I found it, but I don't know how to do that spoiler thing you did, so I don't want to type it.  It was in Turn Coat.  And on looking at it again, it may not really be his name, though it's phrased exactly the way you'd phrase a name.  Looks to be about 75% of the way through the book.

I'm pretty sure Toot's name is reveled - I just read that in the last couple of days.  I don't remember what it was now, but I'll go on a hunting expedition.  But I could be wrong - maybe when I find that spot it will turn out to be more "clan oriented" or something.

Check back for more details...

Let's see.  I'm re-reading the books, at a rapid clip, so a lot of stuff is fairly firmly in mind right now.  I didn't read this entire thread though, so my apologies if these are duplicates.

1) What items did Harry's mother leave to him?
2) What is Toot's full true name?
3) What's the name of Harry's landlady?
4) Where does Ebeneezer live?
5) Who are the "normal human" signatories to the Unseelie Accords?
6) What items has Toot used as his helmet?

I'll let it go at that for now.  Fun topic - we need "Trivial Pursuit - The Dresden Edition."
