Site Suggestions & Support / Something really odd is going on....
« on: September 08, 2008, 03:14:25 PM »
This has been happening to me since yesterday. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

When I click the "show new replies to your posts" link at the top left of the page, it always comes up with the "I need your help and advice" thread, the last post being Lisa's at the bottom of page 14. I know there's more posts in that thread, I've seen them. In fact, this all started when I responded to that post and it didn't show up three times. It finally posted, but there's some kind of glitch in there now. The only way I can see the posts that are actually there is to go in the long way from the Community Board, through McAnally's and into the thread I want.

Similarly, even when I go through that way, the post that appears to be the latest post (on the far right) is incorrect. It's been the same one since 2 pm on Sunday.

Please help. This is really annoying!

Author Craft / Tips for the Unmotivated
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:24:54 PM »
I've been asked by my station manager to do a segment on this week's radio show called "Tips for the Unmotivated" The show is geared toward writers who are in the process of either writing their book, getting it published by any means necessary, or marketing what they've got in hand.

So since I'm crunched with other last minute stuff, I'm asking for your help.  ;D What are your tips for getting motivated to write? To find that perfect agent, or publisher? Or to sell more books? You can be serious or funny, get creative!

If I choose your tip and put it on the air, I'll want to include your name and town and state, so please include that in your post (it doesn't have to be your real name, if you want to keep it private - just something so you know it's yours)

Thanks in advance everyone! I think this is going to be a lot of fun!

The Third Reader is now accepting submissions...

What's worse than a rejection letter?

A rejection form letter!

I've been asked to serve on the editorial panel for www.ThirdReader.com. It is an online literary journal which offers objective feedback to those who submit poetry, flash fiction, and short stories.  If you'd like an objective third party review of your work before shopping an agent, this is the place to test market your work. The best of the best will be offered a place in our yearly Anthology.

If you have a piece you'd like to submit, please visit www.ThirdReader.com. The feedback is free, and the Anthology is available for *at cost* rates.

Good Luck!

I've hit a huge out flow of writing lately, but it's all on RPG.... so that begs the question... is it valid as "writing" or not?
