If habble means habitat level (which sounds logical) I am upset by the extra b.

I think that is more or less English being a mess.  I know the word didn't exist before this book (that I know of), but I think the logic of the word is more akin to "rabbit" having two "b"s even though only one would do.

There are older structures on the planet that are more Spire-like, and Albion is one of the newer designs, so the name had already been in use when Spire Albion was built.

Am I for hoping that an Orangutan was swinging into shelves unknown with an important volume or two?

Missing Terry Pratchett
Danny

If he went unseen by all others there, then he might have well have been there.  But L-Space would hold those books anyways, I believe.

One can take the difference in units used (feet and miles) to imply that they are more approximations of the actual dimensions.  As such, I would read the 10, 00 feet to be a rough order of magnitude to give a range between 10,000 and    15,000 feet.

It confuses me as well.  Perhaps Cat temperament causes them to be seen as a necessary evil, rather then a valued member of the community.

True, but the Croach does slowly change the atmosphere when there is enough of it (since the Vord by WOJ are a sentient terraforming project for someone else), so perhaps the Mist is a part of that.

The biggest blow against the idea to me is the fact that they do get materials from the surface, such as wood, which would not be around after a long Vord settlement, since I believe they would consume the trees.

@ Serack: Does the technical design of the ship make sense from an Electrical Eng. point of view?  I ask because I am in Civil, so my alarm bells won't be set off from anything other then something really basic.  The iea of an electrical gradient in the air makes sense to me, since there is a gradient formed prior to a lightning strike  during a thunderstorm, so a lesser, but more sustainable (as in it doesn't burn up after one "strike") gradient could be established by the webbing.  Although an electrical field "sail" could also work, but I would think that the environment would be too harsh to survive without protective gear if you have enough of a charge in the wind to push on the sail.

I was going in context of the original post.  Having actually read the sample chapters, I would never have thought of it as a typo.

It could also be a process for refining and decontaminating Mistcreature meat like the Mistmaw, for general consumption.  Master Stock comes to mind.

Is it a typo for "hovel" then?

Not to mention that Lea can probably speed herself up when trying to reach Harry, since he is her Godson.

Apparently so.  Most stories I have heard always take the stance that the Lance was basically what killed him, as he was only on the Cross for a few hours.

Raphael would do it himself if he was around.  If not, one of his lieutenants would do it in his stead, so it still works.
