DF Spoilers / Re: [major BG spoilers] About the Council.

Actually I don't think he could, unless she found the tunnel that led to the prison itself.  He could make everyone feel uncomfortable, but he couldn't do anything that would reveal what was really there.  Hey even the Denarians didn't seem to know what was really on the island in Small Favor. Heck if Harry had fully understood what he had done and what power that gave him on the island, Shaggy wouldn't have been able to do squat.  As it was, though Harry suddenly was aware of everything, until Alfred taught him he wasn't aware of his control.
That was before Harry woke it up again.

I thought him and Ivy not even making eye contact was odd.  Not like it needed to be more then a single line.  But he gave her a name for goodness sake.  Even if she is trying to put some distance for some reason, I think there would have been something.
There is that matter of Harry using Kincaid to kill himself. In one day she was robbed of all her close contacts. She won’t take that lightly. No way to know what she thinks about Harry now.

Not before the apocalypse is finished. After that things will be different, more quiet. Immortals will have loads of time again.

I just hope that Jim doesn't spread himself too thin and writes it with in the next year or two.  I think both Peace Talks and Battle Ground suffered because of the six year gap.
I think if you stop doing something a few years your performance will drop until you catch up. He will get better again from writing whatever he writes.

This shouldn't be all that difficult to comprehend.  The Council is corrupt and falling apart. As dangerous as Harry might be there are factions pulling in multiple directions. To do this they had to act when members of the Senior Council were sidelined to make it work. There are at least two cabals in motion.  Jim is guiding us into a wizard civil war.  Chicago is going to be the rally point for the rebellion. He doesn't need to tell Alfred anything. It's a demon supermax.  To Alfred your guilty if you come around, he just hasn't killed you yet.
Alfred can be remarkably restrained. In cold days he could have taken more action against Maeve and he did not. Mab thanked him for it.

And (not sure I have posted that already somewhere) maybe Mab intends Lara to teach Harry how to behave diplomatically on political events. To prepare him for a more politically active role for Winter.
Harry seducing people? That could be hilarious.

Didn't talk to Ivy?  Yes, I understand she is totally into her Archive role now, but she is still Ivy.  I
believe that Ivy still sees Harry as a friend.  What I thought was weird, he didn't even give her
a head nod in acknowledgement or vice versa..
And I wanted him to have a chat with Sarissa. Might be interesting

Yes, it was a way to gain converts to Christianity.  The local pagans perhaps didn't care to warm up to a spoil sport religion.  Besides some of the festivals they continued to practice anyway in spite of the new religion, so they were simply incorporated them and gave them new meanings.
Or they changed some trappings and names to hide their religion from their oppressors. The difference is difficult to see sometimes.

In Battle Ground, Harry clearly talks about the six months Mab stayed on Demonreach, "to keep me alive," while his soul did it's walk about.  Now that was Uriel's idea, if Mab had had her way, he might have woken up as soon as she got him to dry land. Then who knows?  She might of killed him for trying to evade her by trying to kill himself.
She won't. Not for that. It was a deception within the rules set up before the contract started so she only admires it and it makes him more useful in her eyes.

I don't think Murphy will be back, and if she does I think you will find her totally changed from what she was.
I don't think so either but maybe at the end briefly in the nevernever near the gates as Harry is not mortal anyway.

Exactly, and if Harry tells Alfred, "they don't get in."  They don't get in, I doubt that most of them even know what is on the island.  Eb said as much in Peace Talks.  Also with the addition of Maggie, if she lives at the castle when she isn't school, it is now a real home, which means it now has a very strong threshold.  So the Wardens aren't going to easily enter uninvited, and if Harry is right about the wards, I'd think it be impossible.
The gatekeeper knows but the island does not like him and he does not want to interfere with winter and the defense of reality anyway. As long as he thinks Mab has him under control the gatekeeper is not concerned.

I do see her coming back eventually -- see my prediction a page or two ago -- but not for a while.
You need a really apocalyptic situation for that  ;D

Free choice says it all..  Doesn't matter how full the bucket was if it didn't overflow, it was the Fallen that caused the floor to get wet.  Harry was on the ledge, guilt complex in hyper-drive, a Fallen angel came along who knew him well and pushed him off.  Thinking about jumping off isn't the same as being pushed off. Being pushed isn't free will.
And besides that it is difficult to see where the fallen influences stops and his free will began. Harry decided how to commit suicide and who to involve. And he decided to bring Molly to CI.

Harry doesn't have to kill an immortal to take on a mantle. There's one mantle mentioned in BG that we know has been passed around: Kringle. The Erlking might have been offended by the joke, but it's also the only mantle (that i remember) which has been mentioned as being kind of supplemental, and not a major mantle.
The wild hunt. It is a sort of mantle.

The whisper of the fallen gave Uriel enough room to interfere but whether it absolves him from all responsibility is debatable. It is completely in line with his nature and he could have done it without the whisper as well, it just removed the free choice to do so. Which is a big thing but Harry filled most of the bucket, the fallen just added a few drops.

Ivy too, probably.
But Ivy is not a good source of ready available information.
