I also doubt this because Harry paying him a dollar signified the end of their agreement. Their was an exchange of services for the payment. I don't see a way Gray could come back later and demand more. Especially since Harry has previously shown caution in contracts and agreements.

That was kind of the thought behind him doing things to pay of debts for others.

I could totally believe that Rashid kept DR busy while the rest of the Wouncil took down Kemmler. 

Another possibility is that Rashid prevented Kemmler from releasing some inmate, being the Warden, DR took umbrage at his interfering with the WARDEN's work.  How exactly that fits in with "focus the tank" I don't know, but then, this is the only place I've heard the phrase (from Jim).

What we have are a bunch of clues that may or may not be applicable.

He was born on Halloween.  Is that significant for being a starborn? We don't know.  We do know that is when Mask/Mantles can be gained or discarded.

We know Elaine was/is a potential Starborn.  But we don't know her Birthday.  I doubt it was Halloween, because if it was, I'd think Harry would have mentioned it at some point when he was thinking about her.

We know his Mother died in childbirth.  Could this have been significant?  Possibly.  A sacrifice element may be needed, but we don't know.

His father was "a good man" according to Eb.  This could have been an ingredient in the creation of a starborn.  I think it was.

Since Harry was born on 10/31, that means he was conceived around 01/31.  I know of nothing significant, astrologically or religiously significant for around that date.

I think we are lacking to many things to really make a good guess.

Still, it's fun to think about and theorize.

One of the biggest differences is that Marcone is in Chicago. Chicago is one of the major crossroads of the world leading to a higher rate of supernatural occurrences. Of course, it is also home to a certain wizard who has a pretty strong moral code. It is only natural that Harry and Marcone would come into conflict and unless Marcone wants to pick up and move to a different city it is also only natural that Marcone would research his opposition in order to gain the upper hand. This would lead to the discovery of the supernatural world and Marcone saw the chance to make a bigger splash and more profit and took  advantage of it.

That and the fact that Bony Tony got hold of (at least in part) a Supernatural Being's treasure hoard.  That would have clued Marcone in too.

I always tended to think that little harry wouldnt get much (and they apparently call him 'Hank' within the household), but trying to use "Bill" on Harry might actually carry a great deal of weight, given how much weight Harry gives Family.

I'm waiting for them to call him Bill, and Wild Bill, the warden from Tx shows up.

Yes, but a dollar?  How would that pay anything?  I'm thinking the dollar was a symbol for something else.

Or maybe, like the Fay, he "charged" a dollar, but is really putting Harry into a bigger debt than Harry knows. (I really doubt this, but hey, as long as we're asking)
