Yeah, it is the shipping that have me on the fence, but I might pledge in the future, after all one of the stretch goals(the last one I think) is that backers get to read chapter one of peace talks.

Good then I know until next time ^^ :) I might have accidentally spammed you with reports ;)

Got it! Three others as well.   If you see any more, hit report and I will get em (assuming I am awake, these guys hit around 4 am, and a gal needs some sleep!)
Is it enough to report one post per user or should I report all posts I see? :)
Nice job :)

I posted my thoughts over on the Observation Deck at io9, here's a link:

All in all, I loved this book.  Feel free to comment at the site.
Nice review ^^ :) But you have accidentally inserted an extra g in the book title, The Aeronaut's Windlass doesn't have any g:s in it. :)

Actually, there is a WoJ about the universes being connect in someways.. About Tavi and Dresden sharing the same bloodline.. If I'm not miss remembering and confusing it with a discussion instead of WoJ...
I know there is something about the dresden files and codex alera world connected somehow. But I don't know anyhint about the same bloodline.
I know that codex alera and the dresden files is happening around the same time at least.

Cinder Spires Spoilers / Re: Miss Cavendish = Michelle Gomez?

Missy was the image I got in my head too, though mostly just as my most recent image of an Evil Mary Poopins.  In terms of a Casting I think she's a bit too old for Cavendish.  Cavendish is a former student of Ferus, who's not immensely old, so I'd cap her age at around 40 or so.
Jim described Cavendish as Evil Mary Poppins. :) And since Missy has been described as evil Mary Poppins, it sure fits.

In an interview I just watched, Jim described the inspiration as Iron Mans glove but more steampunky.

Note the plural.

But I found an google interview of Jim Butcher where he talks about the aeronaut's windlass, (also some dresden files at the end);

Two things:

(1) Darn it! That darn Jim Butcher caught me again! Another series I'm going to have to follow and get involved with. Now I have to wait another (year? 2?) to see what happens next to people I have started to care about! Rowl, what happens to you?  ;D

(2) I waited (patiently, sort of) until after I read the book to ask this. On the cover art, bottom left, there's something sparkly. I can't tell what it is. Anybody know what it is? I've stared and stared, and tried to interpret both before and after reading the whole thing, but I dunno! What's the sparkly thing bottom left?

We won't even get into the hat situation ....
Actually according to chris mcgrath (the artist of the cover) Grimm is holding his hat in his hand but it's hard to see.
