Made it up. They are doing it in groups of 50. Currently at 86. Signing will be downstairs.

Seeing as how the signing is on a jewish holiday(for the second time in a row!), is it possible for someone to bring a camera along and record the Q&A(if there is one)?Tis my intent, Dmander, barring anything extraneous interfering.

Johnny Rockets sounds good, but I may be more a game time decision. I will be leaving here to be there when it opens to see how things are gonna go and make some plans as I plan to record the event, barring specifically asked not to do so.
I will be wearing my "Dresden is my Hero" button I got at another signing, but I can send my cell phone #, or other social media if preferred (have twitter/facebook/google+ rarely use but will for this ) to anyone that wants it for coordination and such.

« on: April 15, 2014, 01:31:35 AM »If you can try to make a late lunch/dinner meet before the signing that would be cool. Mij, Mrs Mij, Mystic, and myself will be there. Lea from Across the Pond will be heading back home on the 4th (if only they had announced the signing a few weeks earlier!).
If nothing else maybe we can decide on an identifying item to wear to the signing...
Late lunch/early dinner might work out nicely.
The folks in B&N were pretty cool when I stopped in the first time, and the other signing going on that day I stopped in had a camera in play so I doubt that will be an issue. I just tend to be a plan, plan, plan kind of person and I want the setup to work just so.
FWIW, I still have my "Harry Dresden Is My Hero" button from Turn Coat release signing I'll be pinning to my chest, so there is that for ID, for those I haven't met

I am planning to be at the signing somewhat early to get a decent spot to record it, though, so may not work out for the meet

Quite a few restaurants to be had. From the Epic Burger to seafood to Italian, quite a few choices.

As I plan on getting there as early as possible, I am reasonably sure what to expect traffic-wise and parking. Considering it is a mall, with a bookstore and a theatre (X-Men movie comes out the weekend b4 release), yeah, I think I will stay busy till the main act begins

)Route 14, 12 and also I94 all lead to Skokie, with route 14 appearing to turn into Dempster which is a direct line into Skokie. The mall itself appears to be right on route 41 which can also be taken from WI.

Chicago proper is roughly a half hour drive southeast of Skokie. Priscellie posted about it last Tuesday. Had to shift my PTO but got the week off and will be there. « on: February 10, 2014, 01:16:01 AM »Since this is coming up in less than 2 weeks I'm surprised no one has mentioned they're going yet. This will be the first fan run con I've gone to in well over a decade that I'll be a fan & not a volunteer. I got to meet several Jim fans while waiting in the autograph line at DragonCon 2013 & look forward to meeting more at this con.
Has the weather been an issue down there as up here in Chicagoland? Lots of snow recently kinda put the kabosh on travel plans. Maybe folks are waiting to see how things pan out around there. Either way, I truly doubt that Mr. Butcher's fans in that area won't turn out. Most likely, they are just waiting till closer to the time frame.
