DF Spoilers / About Titania
« on: July 14, 2021, 03:14:07 AM »
We know that Titania's main purpose is to protect the world from Mab, but what does she do on a day-to-day (or century to center) basis. We know that Mab spends her time plotting, gaining allegiances, and gaining power all to help at the Outer Gates, but what does Titania do? Because the Summer Court is so much smaller than the Winter Court, does she need to work that much harder to protect her people and all the mortals? Or, to keep the balance for every ally or ability that Mab gets, does Titania need to get an ally or ability of her own?

DF Spoilers / Carlos in Infected
« on: July 11, 2021, 07:28:09 PM »
I was recently thinking about what characters have been acting strangely, and Carlos came to mind. Throughout PT and BG, he was suspicious and argumentative toward Harry. Is it understandable why he was angry and frustrated? Yes, however, does it fit his character? I'm not sure. We know that Nemesis lost a high-level assent in the Council during TC (Peabody) and that Carlos is a rising star among the Council (both in the Warden faction and in the younger generation). Due to Carlos's increasing popularity, it makes sense why Nemesis would want him. Nemesis then used Carlos to push Harry away from him and the Council as a whole, making him more isolated and easier to kill or manipulate.

DF Spoilers / The White Court is Underpowered
« on: July 07, 2021, 02:48:45 AM »
I was recently thinking about the different vampire courts, and I realized that the White Court are by far the most underpowered. The B Court can rapidly "reproduce," and they are known to be the most dangerous but have the most weaknesses. R Court vampires can "reproduce" at similar rates as B Court but are less powerful because they do not have the same inherent potency as B Court and have a need to feed. Finally, the W Court reproduces at the lowest rates; their powers are directly tied with how powerful their Hunger inherently is and how full the Hungry is. The main advantage of the W Court is that they can most easily pass for humans. My question is, why is the W Court so much weaker than the other courts. One could say that they are the strongest because they are not directly powerful in the physical sense but instead use puppets and political power to get what they want but does that makeup for their inherent weakness? Could this be another reason for the Harry Lara marriage? Would a wizard W Court baby be the start of something new and powerful for the W Court and help them gain more power and respect?

DF Spoilers / Starborn WAG
« on: June 21, 2021, 03:38:07 AM »
What if to create a Starborn part of the process (or the whole process) is that an Outsider (or part of an Outsider) needs to be joined with a human host/embryo. It makes sense that Starborn can hurt Outsiders more easily if they themselves were part Outsider. Sort of like what makes them strong also makes them weak. If this is true, then it makes sense why people like Morgan were against Harry. Because no one likes Outsiders and being even part Outsider could be seen as a very bad thing to some people. It also makes sense why LTW needs to talk with a lot of people before telling Harry because he needs to understand how/what to tell Harry. Because just telling him (or anyone else), "Hey Harry, you are part Outsider. You know the race of being that no one likes. Well, you are kinda one of them because your Mom and others want to use you for the greater good." Harry would not respond well to that. (Yes, LTW doesn't talk like that, but that's the gist of the conversation). One thing I'm unsure about is how 40,000 kids could be part Outsider. I could understand a few because someone summons the Outsider and then bonds the child embryo to it but having that many seem unlikely. Maybe at certain times, the Outsiders can cross the border of their own accord and choose their own hosts. And there are so few Starborn left because some people hunt Starborn (or Outsider hosts) because of the fear and lack of understanding of what Starborn are or what they have the potential to become.

DF Spoilers / What happens after...
« on: May 23, 2021, 08:35:04 PM »
I was thinking, what happens after BAT? Assuming the "good" guys win and the outsiders are defeated, what happens with the Winter Court? The primary purpose of the Winter Court is to guard the Outergate. For this, they need hundreds of thousands of soldiers. What happens when they are no longer needed? Soon there would be an overpopulation on Winter in both the mortal and Fea realms. In the mortal realm, this would lead to Winter killing more mortals with the potential for a return to the Dark Ages (i.e., humans being afraid of the dark) or an all-out war between magical beings and humans.

DF Spoilers / Why was Ferrovax in GP
« on: May 10, 2021, 07:21:14 PM »
During a recent re-read of GP, it struck me as odd that Ferrovax in at Bianca's party. Ferrovax is a god level being with great power and authority. So why was he invited to and accept an invitation to a medium (or low) powered member of the Red Court? From my POV, the only reason why Ferrovax was at the party was so Harry could meet him. Was this just a plot point that Jim planned out 10+ books in advance, or did Jim just want a dragon in his books? Any other ideas yall have?

DF Spoilers / Harry's Vassal
« on: May 04, 2021, 04:03:00 PM »
I might have missed it, but when did Toot-Toot become Harry's Vassal? Was it just through all the pizza Harry gave him through the years, or is it more than that?

DF Spoilers / The Barabbas curse
« on: March 30, 2021, 09:38:40 PM »
This is the curse that Nicodemus tried to kill Harry with in Death Masks, but Shiro took Harry's place. From my understanding, this curse is a more advanced and deadly version of an entropy curse (a curse that kills by coincidence). Nicodemus is able to cast this curse once a year (maybe refreshing around Easter, the anniversary of Barabbas's freedom, and Jesus's condemnation?) as long as he possesses the nose. Since Harry is obviously a thorn in Nicodemus's side, why hasn't he tried to use the curse on Harry again?

My only guess is that the curse can only be targeted at someone once, meaning that Harry is protected from the curse. However, those around Harry are still vulnerable. Who recently annoyed Nicodemus and whose death would cause Harry a lot of pain? Murphy. I think Nicodemus sent the Barrabus curse to kill Murphy, and the curse used Rudolph's poor trigger discipline as a weapon. When Harry finds this out, he will go berserk and hunt Nicodemus down.

DF Spoilers / Why Harry has Conjuritus as an Adult
« on: February 23, 2021, 05:40:17 AM »
One thing that I found odd in Peace Talks and Battleground was Conjuritus. So here's my theory as to why Harry got Conjuritus as an adult (sorry if this was already posted). From my understanding, Conjuritus is mainly contracted by children. What if when Harry was growing up, Justin did something to Harry to dampen his power or set his power level back a few years? He has Conjuritus now because he is magically a child while physically an adult. This would explain why Harry never got Conjuritus as a child. Harry is surprisingly powerful for a wizard of his young age and is only growing stronger. If Justin wanted to control Harry, he would want to dampen Harry’s powers so Harry couldn’t overpower him or break out from his control (if he would have been successful in mind-controlling him).
