Hi, my name is NA, I found myself in the middle of a situation worse than anything I have been involved in before. I was born with a special ability, but in this case will it be enough save my friends---and me?

There is a flu going around making Users and Mages sick, and killing some. It is NA’s job—she has the special geas to prove it—to find the cause and to stop it, before something terrible happens.

She just has to get around her emotional baggage, a grizzly, a griffin, ghosts, an AI Trick, and an angry abuser who wants revenge on NA. At the same time, she has to figure out what a friend is.

She is out of her pay grade, has no plan to find, or defeat the cause, and is caught in a wave of anger at her friends. Yet, somehow she is the only one who can stop this flu.

The geas and the Power behind it, must have made a mistake and sent it to the wrong person. However, since she has it, it’s her job to stop a horrible event from happening. To make it worse she has a deadline: one she doesn’t know even exists. A large job for a Freak with a lot of emotional baggage, and doubts.

Haven't been here much:posted a link to where a very short story of mine was published and something else I can't recall right now.

But I've been writing. Just finished a 3800 and some word story and a 5,350 word story both started two weeks ago.

Had to get a story revised three or five times for a contest and sent in that one and another story to another contest--that last one didn't place.

Got one of my novels sent off to some Beta readers. They are taking their time though.

Since I was last here I probably finished more than a dozen stories, some hand written.

See some new faces and some old ones...glad you oldees are still working on the craft.

But I managed to get 2,258 words in today. Finished a story-An alchemy steampunk fusion-and that gives me 'till Tuesday to revise it and nitpick check it.

Had to go back through it and add a few sentences to show my MC changed. And the whole thing is about two thousand words longer than I thought it would be and that was without adding a couple of scenes I finally decided it didn't need. 

But I will add that I did zip last night.

Wrote a letter to the editor for my local paper and critiqued a story for someone else but no new words for my projects.
