Heyla Kiddies, sneaks back in.
Hope you all are doing well? Ouch Dina, I just read back a page or two and sorry about your gallbladder surgery. Glad it was laparoscopic. Those make healing a whole heck of a lot easier. Had a D and C that way. Bellybutton surgery. Hope the temporary diet helps with weight loss. The older you get the harder it is to lose. Sigh.
L.C.s been pretty quiet about her job or not having one. Sounds like the one she just lost was not a good one anyway.
Duckie just launched a new book - bad puns abound I'm sure. This IS Duckie after all. LOL

This is the site if you're interested.
Fcrate - it's $25 for cops and $50 if they see you coming.
Otlan - good luck with whatever you try. Huggles. (For some odd reason - autocorrect DOES NOT like the word Huggles - it always wants to switch it to Hughes.)
Anyway, kids, am in and out. Miss you all and will try to be back here more often.
Snowy sneaks away again before she can be pounced.

I like the bit in the Mercy Thompson series where she's driving the van with one of the werewolves and he's changed and is hanging his head out the window like any dog. And she's thinking that at the next stop they're trading places. LOL

Heyla Kiddies. Sneaks back in when no one is looking. Congratulations Otlan - you rock. and I will definitely remember to stay off the roads in your area of the country. :o :o
Hey Dina, miss ya. Sorry to hear it's cold there but you can send it up here. Very warm would be what I would call it around here.
Finally working at trying to get my novella ready for Amazon. Wish me luck. I need the money. Doing my usual end of month plea to try to get the rent. Doesn't look good this month. Several friends have come down very sick and it's disheartening. I can't really do anything for any of them. So keep your fingers crossed. Have spent my time writing fan pic - yeah, I know, but it was an escape from everything and it harmed no one. Sigh. Heard from LC - she just lost her job, unfortunately. Duckie has written several books and they're on Amazon. I think the first one is Queen of Crows. Interesting concept. Payne's Grey got married. I think Mousewynn finally retired, and Mr. Shecky is being owed by five cats - also being an independent copy editor - a good copy editor.

Heyla Dina - I haven't disappeared down a rabbit hole - though occasionally I'd like to. Huggles, I hope life is treating you and yours well. I'm hanging in and hanging on. Missing you guys over here on the Forum. And, I know, my bad for not coming over more often.

Hey Otlan. A day late and very short. Patricia Briggs is very good. Try her Dragon Blood/Dragon Bones pair. Only two, that I know of, in that series.

Heyla, I snuck back in. (I really don't like autocorrect - it isn't fond of my vocabulary or my use of words.) Real watermelon is good too. I just get the juice when I can because I don't want to waste anything.
 Enjoy Endgame.

Heyla Kiddies.
I don't know why watermelon juice is so uncommon. Maybe because the fruit is so watery, they don't find it necessary to make a juice from it. ??? I dunno. Maybe it doesn't have a long shelf life. I know the one I get has a little lime juice in it.
ACK - is pouncyglomped by an Ottie. Don't muss the leopard. LOL
Good to see you again. Did you get my Xmas card?
Hi Dina, I'm hanging in and hanging on. Worrying about rent - like that's anything new. Dealing with life, the universe, and other such things.
 How's by you.

Snow is back, at least for the moment. Haven't quite gotten into the rhythm of when everybody is around.
 Hi Alls.
Hmmm, orange juice is too acid for me. I like fresh squeezed apple juice. Pear juice doesn't like me. At my local market I can find a watermelon juice - which I love. Can't afford but love.
So Weird is no longer a seven day thing? Not that I mind - just asking.
Sigh, getting late so I'm gonna head out. All of you good Weirdlings - take care and have a great one. Huggles.

Maen Kiddies.
Appears out of the shadows scaring people. I hope life is treating you all well?
My life goes on much as usual. Deep sigh.
Ummm, never had to worry about food animals as pets thing. Though I know someone who
said her family during the lean times raised rabbits and chickens and the children were taught not to make pets of them.
Hey Ren - many thanks for the help. You rock.
Wishing all of you the very, very best.
Me, I've just been plugging along trying to scrape rent together and/or find a roomie. Either my candidates flake out at the last minute or they are flakes. Deep sigh. (Gotta get rid of that sign over my head that says - NUT JOBS APPLY HERE - it does not help.)

MAEN again Kiddies.
Hello Ren. As I understand it you need at least 5 points of difference for something to not
be considered a rip off. Good luck with your writing. (Have you seen the trailer for the next Godzilla movie? Not sure about that one.)
Huggles Dina. Don't worry about it. I usually show up late in the evening when all rational people have gone to bed. And yes that means I'm not all that rational. (Never have been)
Huggles back, Otlan. Missed you too.
 Missed all you guys.
  Have a great one.

Appears out of the Shadows
MAEN Kiddies. How be you all?
I've missed you.

Hmmm, appears that everyone is elsewhere.
I'll be back now that I know how to get here.
Have a great one all.
Huggles all around.
(My autocorrect does not like the word Huggles - wants to go to Hughes.)

In part because your writing is a part of you and to put it out there means you're exposing
yourself to vagaries and whims of the people who read it.

Guys, if you're going to talk about your story - please do it in very general terms.
Er like - Space opera or Fantasy or the such.
Getting too specific can lead to things you don't want.
One, if JB reads this and has an idea similar(even remotely) to your idea then he
has to abandon it for legal reasons. Two, someone could steal your idea or the basis for
it. Three, for some people (not all) mentioning their story equates in some part of their mind
as writing and they delay in putting it on paper.
These are just suggestions - take them as you will.

Welcome AcheronEHJ
Congrats on the books and writing for kids may seem simple but isn't.
As for JB, sometimes the mind needs to clear itself with simple fun.
  Enjoy and be safe.
