I can just imagine, at some siege in the 14th century, where a wizard is standing next to a trebuchet and he mucks it up cause his personal concept of whats "new" doesn't include it.

But he's just fine with the older, more reliable catapult.

What I see is that it seems to be based on how the wizard regards technology. I suspect that if a wizard was your typical computer geek, then we'd see them having trouble with basically no electronics.

This brings up an interesting question...what about the concept of "technomages", or wizards whose main medium is technology...or, more specifically, the mass movement of electrons within a electronic device.

Would there be rules for that sort of thing?

Well, it wouldn't be too hard to make one, as I dabble in IRC occasionally.

Would there be any problem with me just making an "Official Jim Butcher IRC room" or something to that effect?

Given the propensity for Butcher-ites to be roleplayers, I was curious if there were any plans for making an RP board? I was honestly a little surprised there wasn't one already.

Just a quick question about how this book falls into the Spidey canon.

Given the new direction the Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman book has taken the franchise, I was curious as to whether or not the novel will fall into the story's continiuty, and how it would. 

Anyways, it has Felicia, so I'm buying it no matter the case.
