the original mantra of the Jedi Code was the following:
"Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force."
What is the full Jedi Code?
The Jedi Code is a set of rules that governed the behavior of the Jedi Order. The Code's mantra is:
There is no emotion, there is peace
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge
There is no passion, there is serenity
There is no chaos, there is harmony
There is no death, there is the Force
The Code taught Jedi to:
Be mindful of their emotions
Maintain a serene, quiet mind
Not form attachments
Love people, even their enemies
The Code also forbade: Killing unarmed opponents, Seeking revenge, Possession, Greed, and Fear of loss.
The Jedi Code also included other tenets, such as:
Honoring the Jedi Council, the Jedi Order, and the law
Upholding the laws and ideals of the Republic
Protecting the citizens of the Republic
Helping those in need

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and to protect.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training
The New Jedi Order teaches its members to control their emotions rather than suppress them.
Attachments, including marriage, are also allowed.
Vadar was redemed by love, this affected luke deeply so he allowed love.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

But either which way I'm just officially relieved to have this book out there finally and at long last.
