Since we don't have a better way to do this yet, a few of us thought it might be a good idea to open a thread where people could post some of their character ideas, to help us understand how we might play off each other.  (See, I learned something today!)

I know there's a way to mark all posts as read, when you've selected 'Show all unread posts since last visit" or when viewing 'All Unread Topics' ... is there a way to mark a particular part of the boards as read?  I noticed that when I opened "The Books", there's a tab 'Mark Read' - will that affect only "The Books"?  I'm asking because there are a few areas I don't go into, and I'd like to clear them out of the way before I page through all the unread posts.

Also, Is there a way to mark message read if they were posted before a specific date?
