So, so stuff happened this year, like a tree fell on our house, and the appliances are all going belly up, and I needed MRIs and root canals...

If you are interested, here is the candle I lit instead of cursing the darkness:

The Bar / First line of defense
« on: September 28, 2018, 12:27:41 PM »
Thank you to the folks who report spam posts!

Remember you are the first line of defense on the site.

Yesterday was an inundation of spam, one account alone dumped 208 spam posts.  (Each of which I had to delete individually!)

The sooner we know, the sooner we can disable the spam accounts.

Thanks!

These are all large quilts.   The pix do not o them justice, because the colors really pop on these!

Drawing is 4 February, and you donot need to be there to win, but you do need to buy chances to win!

Community Cork Board / Yet another way to help Julie Butcher!
« on: April 12, 2014, 10:10:06 PM »
https://www.etsy.com/shop/kierabot?ref=l2-shopheader-name

*****SPECIAL NOTE*****
FROM APRIL 14th THROUGH APRIL 30th!!! After etsy fees, 75% of all sales will be donated to Julie Butcher-Fedynich's family's medical bills. Her husband did battle with a chainsaw-wielding bear, and the bear won. After insurance's part, there is still a large amount they owe for medical bills, so this is my way of helping out.

Community Cork Board / Fund Raiser for Julie Butcher

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/evil-for-julie-reader-edition

As some of you might have heard, Julie's husband met with an horrific accident via chainsaw.  Many surgeries later, there is a passel of medical bills (not covered by insurance, because as we all know, insurance doesn't pay for everything.)

Some of the premiums are pretty cool, and you can still donate items/services instead of cash!   Find out more here--->  http://www.leighevans.com/  or   here    http://www.kerryschafer.com/blog/

Site Suggestions & Support / Site format disappeared
« on: July 05, 2011, 07:25:55 AM »
The boxes that hold topics, and how every other post was shaded, the spacing between words in Home Help Search bar (and lack of a bar) all of it has disappeared on this site.  My other simple machine's sites are fine.

Anyone know what happened or how I can fix it?  Thanks!

Site Suggestions & Support / Opt out
« on: November 10, 2009, 09:07:12 PM »
It would be really cool if we could opt out of a thread.  There are threads that really change, either by going into a new direction or being hijacked and I get notices for it until the split or it gets locked.

Of course I can just delete the notification when it comes up...  but being OCD and a compulsive reader, it would be soooo much easier of I could just click on:  Stop receiving notifications regarding this thread.

Or, is there a way to do that and I have been too much of a Luddite to find it?

Thank you!

*HUGS*

Display Case / The Virtual Gallery
« on: December 17, 2008, 05:58:46 AM »
So many of us are extremely talented in so many ways that I thought I should start a virtual gallery so people could post links to their work and short descriptions.

My Photobucket account has some great stuff and some silly stuff, from costumes I have made to calligraphy and illumination I have done.  I also showcase work some of my friends have done.

My Scribal work is here

There are other links listed on that site that you can explore as well.  Sort of like a treasure hunt.

Who will be next?
