DF Spoilers / Winter Lady Restrictions
« on: August 09, 2022, 08:45:23 PM »
Just had a thought and figured it was worth posting. Apologies if the subject has been posted previously.

In Brief Cases Mab implies that the Winter Lady is forced to be chaste because becoming pregnant would disqualify her eligibility for the position. From that premise one could assume that non-vaginal and/or non-penetrative sexual activity would be outside of the Winter Law prohibition.

Thoughts?

DF Spoilers / Something That Has Always Bugged Me
« on: June 24, 2022, 09:28:24 PM »
Several times throughout the series (pre-Winter mantle), Harry uses his staff one-handed resulting in significant damage to his target. A staff is a two-handed weapon. Have you ever tried to swing a six-foot length of wood "as thick as two thumbs together" with one hand? It's awkward as hell and you can't really get any real force behind it unless you have the space and momentum to twirl it.

DF Spoilers / Solution for Thomas?
« on: March 16, 2021, 06:00:16 PM »
Maybe it's just me, but isn't there a blindingly obvious solution to Thomas' condition that Harry is in a unique position to be aware of?
Harry knows about the situation between Irwin Pounder and his white court fiancée Connie. Irwin survived the first encounter when Connie's hunger awoke, which previously was inevitably fatal to the victim, and continues to be fed upon without ill effect.
So why doesn't Harry call in River Shoulders and his kin to see if one or more of them can feed enough energy to Thomas to stabilize him without endangering anyone's life? The Forest People can handle the drain without serious risk, even with Thomas' hunger in the negative feedback loop it seems to be stuck in.

Rudolph's hidden backer gets him off on a technicality, Dresden says 'not just no, but Hell no', then goes vigilante, which brings Harry into conflict with whoever the White Council has surveilling him.
