That's also the Summer Lady. Requirements may be different for Winter Lady.

It may also be completely new. In Peace Talks, when Harry goes to Lara's place (before the Wardens ambush him and interrogate him about visiting her/sleeping with her), he (Harry) notes that the wards on the Raith mansion have been seriously upgraded. Stands to reason that Lara also got some new badass clothes at the same time since she's obviously prepping for the worst...

It seemed like something new to me. I don't recall it having shown up before ... though I could be mistaken...

He was also consciously not thinking about the knife ...

Pretty sure someone asked about Bonnie in one of those recent interviews and Jim said yeah, Harry was actively trying not to think about her? Would have to track those down again...

Did it seem to anyone else that Mab was about to refer to Ebenezar as brother? "br..." before he cut her off.

Is that a possibility? It would definitely provide a base for Margaret's entanglement with the Winter Fae.
No, I don't think that's what was happening. Further along in that chapter, she continues and tells Ebenezar to "brief him on the plan" with regards to Harry. I think that's what she was about to say and just got interrupted.

Forthill was at the funeral at the end of BG. He spoke over the gravesite.

On that basis he needs a bloody huge stone and anvil to sit in reception with the Sword of Love stuck in it with the inscription “ Whoso Pulleth Out the Sword of the Stone and Anvil, is Rightwise Baron Born of All Chicago.”

Think how much that will annoy Marcone, who of course is the one person who can’t pull it out now in Chicago.
I kind of love this idea.
Quite aside from whether it's a good idea to send Langtry ammunition to invoke the death sentence, it's probably a smarter political move to welcome Wardens to visit the castle and see the positive he's trying to build it into for the community and the paranet.
When has Harry ever done the "smarter political move," though? I suppose that could theoretically be chalked up to Lara showing him how to properly diplomance ... which would be funny in and of itself, with Harry using lessons from her to show the WCncl that he's totally above board ... which would only make certain members of the WCncl that's further suborned by Lara because the Harry they know would never be this diplomatic! ;D

A big old bed for when Lara is visiting. (j/k)

Heck, lee harvey oswald made three shots and had two on target(within a span of seconds) from a block away with one of the most inaccurate rifles available (the bullets were famous for tumbling I'm air) and the previous record before the above one was a little over a mile iirc.
*No scope either, he used the iron sights iirc
What are you talking about? That was the Comedian! :P

DF Spoilers / Re: Who should Harry marry

Who is Eb's other daughter?  Two great grand daughters, but only one daughter as far as I know.
Eb? We were talking about Harry. You said "I don't think Harry needs to marry, he has a daughter, a dog, and a cat, he isn't ever going to be lonely." - Harry has two daughters, Maggie (who is awesome because she eats her fries with mustard like me!) and Bonnie...

In an arranged marriage, no, but marriage for the sake of being married? Loneliness is a factor.
But ... the upcoming Harry/Lara thing is an arranged marriage, so I'm not sure how that factors in?

Technically, he has two daughters ... but loneliness has nothing to do with an arranged marriage. :)

Or Lara and somebody. Butters started a trend and Lara won’t mind.
Well, Freydis is just hanging around...

Any dowry would only be Lara giving a gift to Lara. She controls Lord Raith after all. On several occasions we see that Lara has complete control of the entire Raith holdings.
Yeah, but old man Raith is still sort of there and I like the idea that he's impotently screaming his rage when she makes him give Dresden something he (Raith) considered important or valuable ... like maybe the portrait of Harry's mom.

DF Spoilers / Re: Maggie the Younger
« on: October 10, 2020, 05:35:07 AM »
I seem to recall Jim saying somewhere that Maggie was born of a half-turned Red Court vamp and a wizard, and that it would be weird if there wasn't something interesting/weird about her ... but naturally, I can't find that quote now.

Papa Raith has also shown no hesitation to whack his kids if they step out of line, so it would not surprise me - in fact, I'd be surprised if this wasn't the case - to learn that Lara is now his eldest child, with him having eaten or straight up murdered the previous eldest ones. As to her age, I think BrainFireBob has it closest with her being a little older than the Merlin and Eb, but nowhere near 1000.
