DFRPG / Re: Laptops and rpgs

I think most of the responses here have been on the spot, it's about what the player was doing on the laptop. Having played many characters with "eat-a-dick" memory I've transcribed most of the game play that my character was in.

Jack only uses "Juggler" and "Riposte" when he's under the influence of "9 Dragon Potion" (at least I think that's what it was called).  It's not at all clear he could do them when not under the influence of what is effectively a powerful combat drug.  Even so it's clear that Lo Pan didn't expect him to be able to do anything like that.  So maybe he's actually pretty at grabbing things out of the air and throwing them back compared to normal people, just not good enough to do it reliably when not on drugs.  .

I don't know about that. I would say catching the bottle from a relaxed position and attitude that was flying at his head that started a mere two feet from his head would seem just as hard, if not harder, as catching the knife.

That was my understanding, that refresh and thematics were the only limitations. Hell, I'm kicking around the idea of a were-dragon now and breathing fire is a must.

Any one tried this in combat? Big nasty comes at ya and you just send them away and hope they can't cross back on their own?

Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-doo,

Let's talk about breaking magic law two.

Oompa Loompa, do-ba-dee-dee,

We don't really care about one or three.

Is it good to sell a potion to child?

One that turns man to a beast that is wild.

Would the Wardens really care,

If a kid had fur instead of hair?

Better have your affairs straight

Oompa Loompa do-ba-dee-da,

Don't test them and you will go far.

You will live in happiness too,

Like the oompa loompa do-ba-dee-doo.

Do-ba-dee-doo

Haha. The Loompaland section of the Never-Never aside it could always be treated like The Anarchist Cookback in sales. 18+ and for educational use only. I'm not sure on the educational applications of a lust potion, however.

Now THERE is a good character to cross-over and makes me want to make a potion peddler starting out with a cart on a street corner.

Still just having trouble wrapping my head around potions. Like what the hell would a potion with a strength of 15+ be like?! I like the idea of having a bandoleer of potions but having trouble grasping them  :(

Now from what I've read potions just add an aspect. Now maybe it's too many years of DnD but I can't really wrap my head around what can and can't be done. I mean could a potion give you powers for a scene or so? What potions have y'all made and used?

Wouldn't that be cheating on the "Wee" Trapping of Deminutive Size?
Fair enough, but it was mostly a joke on the size. Though the idea of the in-your-face fly threatening to backhand a troll and the troll backing down is just a good mental image.

Thanks for all the help and info, guys. I always love to see what strength can do in a game. Especially if my character is going to have Diminutive Size, mwuahahahahah!
