What areas/places would you like Jim to come to for the Ghost Story tour?

I would love for him to come to North Carolina myself for a signing or something, anywhere outside the state is just too far away for mwah.

I'm really hoping for Portland, Oregon, or possibly even Olympia, Washington.  I live out on the Washington coast and those are the closest places that are even remotely likely.  I could do Seattle, but the traffic getting to and from there is the absolute pits.

Hagbard Celine, you are my hero!  Thanks so much for not only taking great video with clear sound, but also for sharing it with everyone.

I'm incredibly lucky, Jim Butcher is coming to both Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR.  Since I'm out on the Pacific coast and just about mid way between the two locations distance wise, I plan on going to the signing in Portland, because the drive down on Highway 101 is much nicer.

Ah, man!  That is so not fair!    I'll just be getting back from the Stargate convention in Vancouver, BC, and there's no way I could afford a trip to Chicago (the nearest release party) after that.  *sigh*  I hope all of you folks who are going have fun, though!  Hopefully Amazon will have delivered my copy of Turn Coat a little early and it can be there waiting for me when I get home.

I agree with Wishingforwzrds, Portland, OR, would do very nicely; I live in SW Washington and could actually make it to Portland!  Pretty please?  Powell's City of Books would be a perfect place to hold a release party!

Rorschach, that costume is wicked cool!!!  I saw several versions of Harry at the con, but yours is definitely the best of the bunch.  If I had seen you there, I definitely would have stopped and ask to take a few pictures.

Amber, I think I ran into you and your husband in line for Jim's signing on Saturday and I'm wishing I had actually introduced myself.   

Jim's panels and getting some books signed by him were definitely some of the highlights of Comic Con for me.  It figures that the man himself is every bit as funny and entertaining as his writing.  He's also one of the fastest talking people I've ever met; he could seriously give a couple of my favorite fast talking fictional characters (Sam Carter and Rodney McKay from the Stargate series) a run for their money.    The next time Jim is doing a book signing in Portland or Seattle I will definitely be making the drive to see him again, and hopefully meet some of the folks from the boards here.

I really enjoyed the series.  It had some problems at the beginning, but they were mostly worked out by the last 4 episodes and I wish it could have continued for several more seasons.  Yes, it was different from the books, as most screen adaptations are, and that wasn't a problem for me, because I looked at the TV series as a sort of alternate universe fanfiction.  Taken on its own, "The Dresden Files" was turning into an excellent show and it's a pity Skiffy didn't give it a real chance with a complete, 20 episode season, because it would have been a real winner for them as it progressed through the rest of the first season.  I would be willing to bet some serious money that the series would have picked up a big enough following to make it worth their while and then some if they had decided to continue with it through a complete first season and subsequent seasons as well.
