That's along the lines of what I was thinking. Though, the water might delete the magic of them. Maybe ride a bike with the rings somehow attached to wheels.

Maybe this thread becomes a list of top ten ways to recharge Harry's rings!

Was wondering a little bit about these. Harry describes charging them with his own motion throughout the day and whatnot like that. He hits the heavy bag at one point to recharge them. I was thinking if it's kinetic energy like how watches maintain charge(?), wouldn't it be possible for Harry to use some sort of device to do this like those used for watches? I'm sure the technology aspect of it may negate it, but I'm just thinking that it should be possible.

Yes. I can see Mab using Harry to disinfect the White Court. Sorta like she had to do with her own court--Lea, etc. Perhaps Lara already knows there's a problem and she and Mab launched this plan together knowing that Harry is the cure.

If we consider Harry as a decent person even in the Mirror universe and makes a decision that, in effect, is decent (but questionable--ie. Molly helping her friends), then maybe something subtle becomes much more---adding up to him taking up the coin of Lashiel.

I'm most curious about how we'll find him in Mirror Mirror. Is he under the radar or out and hello on wheels, so to speak.

Right before Harry and Carlos duel Malvora and Madrigal Wraith, he chats with Justine. He asks how she's up and around. She's more than a bit evasive I think. Sorry, I've been listening, so don't have the exact quote.

I'm sure this has been discussed, but Nemfected would explain it all, but it kind of pins down a timeline for infection of Justine.

Feel free to tell me it's been discussed and where have I been.  hehe

I'm rereading White Night and I'm wondering about Elaine more and more. Remember all the thinking that Elaine might be Kumori? I keep thinking about the mental whammy DuMorne played at with Elaine and any number of other things and think we certainly haven't seen the last of Elaine. I also wonder if she could be of the thinking that black magic isn't necessarily used for bad things like Kumori saving the man's life using necromancy. I haven't put my finger on it, but there's something prickling at the back of my brain. Maybe she's black council? She's anti white council based on her discussion with Harry about going before the WC. It's thin, but possible.

Anyway--Hope all are well.

Read, listened to, thought about...

I've read them through multiple times and listen to them regularly on my work commute. I'm currently on my umpteenth reread and currently on White Knight. I feel like he's a friend I get to say hello to from time-to-time. It's comfortable. When I don't have other books going--always a few--I'll play one of the Dresden Files novels in the car and I'm right back to that feeling you get the first time you read a story that you fall for. It's pretty wonderful.

Don't feel like you have to answer to topic question. I'm sure there are loads of you in the same boat I'm in and that, in itself, is pretty cool.

Just finished a reread. I know it's been discussed, but Cowl's scarred arms...Any ideas? Was there ever confirmation about Talvi Inverno having scarred arms? If not, okay, but over time, wouldn't the scars have faded or even disappeared (a la Harry's hand healing)?

As much as those here wanting a resolution to the question to Cowl, do we really have one?

I'm curious how long Lord Raith's Outsider magic immunity continues once Harry digs into the Raith household and library of the arcane. His mind is probably close to gone at this point, but magically, he's probably still immune.

Perhaps Mab is tracing the Outside connection. ??? We shall see.

I think she is more suited to be Mab's replacement. The whole Winter Lady virgin thing would not be so nice for Lara.

Good question. I mean...if Lara becomes either, who leads the White Court? Thomas? Agree, Queen is a much better fit than Lady. I think Mab recognizes like-minded individuals. Lara is calculating like Mab.

Just a very tiny detail near the end of the book...minuscule.

When Lara is about to have her way with Lord Raith, she is described as Wintry.

Like I said---Minuscule, but telling.
