The confirmation came from a private facebook group (that I am not a member of) the other day from Jim himself. This Reddit thread has the rundown. If you read through the thread, Jim (user "jimbutcherauthor") later posted (a number of times) to further confirm.

Thomas’s is identical to Harry’s, because their mom gave them to them. Elaine’s is very similar, because it’s a common symbol representing magic, hers may even have been based on Harry’s after the fact. There could be more to it than that, but there doesn’t have to be.

Jim's Jim, so it could be important later on, But I think it served a pretty valid narrative purpose already by being the reason our characters started working together/become friends. So It's probably alright if it stays unresolved.
