I think that is just an interpretation of the last part of Mythic Recovery. 
-Clearing away a minor physical consequence 3 times as a supplemental action. 

The other argument is that it was being used by his GM, to show their ridiculous healing as a warning to push the scene along, so they didn't get bogged down in combat for too long.

Hello all,

My group has decided on doing a DFRPG game set in New Orleans, can I get some people to look over the work I have done so far and get some opinions?  Here is a wiki, I made for the game just in case we lose character sheets or the city sheets.  I should clarify that none of us have ever been to RW New Orleans, so I just used wikipedia's and an hour of research + random ideas floating in my head, with some flat stolen names from Mercede's Lackey.

I thought I would shamelessly self promote a Alera Codex game write up I just finished using the new Fate Core rules.

I found the new system much easier to make balanced when compared to the DFRPG's magic system so enjoy.

- How to resist against love potions
          -This would be a maneuver, to place the "In Love" potion.  I 
          personally would have it resisted by Discipline. 

- Being targeted by lightning strikes
          -Discipline vs. Athletics with a power 10+ damage effect. 

- Or, straight-up killing spells
          -Endurance as a resist skill would be a good idea, once again with a 
          ridiculously high damage effect.

I really like your shield-o-mancer, his powers and stunts could be a lot of fun, and frankly that stunt seems more balanced than the usual enchanted item user.

My intent on these abilities on the Cerberus Cub, is to allow you to have a low fists score and alertness while still having good rolls for these when you have your pet of power with you...

Hello all,

My players and I just had an interesting idea about how to emulate familiars and creatures like it, what about using the items of power rules but the creature has the powers of the item or applies them by its presence?

Quick Examples:
Cerberus Cub: -3 (-5 with a +2 discount)
-Echoes of the Beast: It is a dog?
-Pack Instincts: It is a dog?
-Ghost Speaker: It makes sense for a Cerberus Cub...
-True Aim: Fists rolls
-Claws: It is a dog?

Malk Familiar: -3 (-5 with a +2 discount)
-2 x Refinements: Specialties only not extra foci...
-Glamours
-Marked by Power

Hello all,

I am currently playing a character who has glamours (not Greater Glamours) and I am trying to make sure I know what it can do, as the description is very vague?  Here are a few examples of things I think would be legal, but I wanted to get some opinions?

Invisibility: Veils that block sight?

Disguising Myself: This seems legitimate, as you should be able to change your clothing, and appearance to someone you have seen?

Disguising Others: Lets say I make someone look like their wearing the wrong gang colors?  Lets say warring gangs so I can use it as a Declaration?

Hiding Objects/Aspects: Can I conceal objects, such as hiding a hole in the floor, until they fall in, Declaration?

Causing Mental or Social Stress: Lets say I know the person has Arachnophobia and I make them see hundreds of spiders crawling out of the floor and up their legs.

Can you use Greater Glamours to cause damage?  Lets say you use it to create a swarm of bees that then begin stinging someone, is that only going to be a Declaration or is it able to do physical stress?

Hello all,

I would like to make sure I understand Thaumaturgy properly?

I can summon up to twice my lore in shifts of power, and then I divide that into a series of rolls which I then need to succeed on each one or it blows up in my face?

-Is the power level restricted to double the lore value, or Lore + Foci Value times 2?

Stupid question, but it has been coming up in our games a lot?  When filling in stress boxes, if you take 3 stress do you just fill in the 3rd box or do you fill in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd boxes?

Centarion, I agree with you that the grapple part was risky but I was thinking since it basically follows the normal rules for grapple its not as broken as Orbius, especially since your power to actually hold the target is dropped by needing the aspect part.
