No sadness allowed!  You'll rock the program!

I'm reliably informed you'll be way too busy to keep in touch with us.  But when you get leave we hope to hear from you.

Good bye.  Good luck.  We'll miss you.

(And we expect to hear from you when you're able.)

*hugs*

Uma Thurman would be more like Gard.
Totally on board with this one.

Showed Jim.  He said, "OMG hilarious shirt. :)"

Well done. :D
Thanks Priscellie!  And thanks to shades of grey for letting me steal your idea!

Only if I don't see pictures.
I'd be honoured. :)
Finally got around to painting it.  I'll post a pic here if I can get my phone to take a decent pic.  (The color isn't working at all - it's almost like a negative or something!)

ETA:  OK, tried again with the pictures this morning.  Same shirt, front and back pics taken in the same location, same lighting, within a minute of each other.  The colors of the back are accurate, the colors of the front are clearly not.  But here it is (slightly out of focus).  The snow flake on the front is silver, as are all the little flecks on front and back, the lettering is baby blue.  No idea what the deal is with my phone/camera.

ETA again:  Got a little bit better pic of the front - but still not close to the actual color of the shirt.  I have no idea what the deal is why the front looks like a different color than the back in the pictures.  :/

With apologies for derailing the thread . . .

In the quote Elegast posted from Fool Moon - Do we know whose blood that was that Justin was trying to force down Harry's throat?

We have ways of making you walk.
Would you be terribly offended if I stole this and painted it on a T-Shirt?

I usually peg Graham Greene as Listens To Wind, but I've had a harder time with Eb -- it would have to be someone who can do the cantankerous old coot. I tend toward guys I've seen in westerns, like Sam Elliott - though I don't know if he'd be my first choice.
I can't see Sam Elliott in overalls.  Does not compute.

Community Cork Board / Be Kind to Service Workers Day
« on: November 10, 2012, 03:46:27 AM »
Hopefully it's OK to post this here.  Trying to get people to do something nice for those who work in any service industry.

Day after black Friday, do something nice for the people who serve you.  Be Kind to Service Workers Day

Quote
On the day after Black Friday do something nice for the people serving you...your grocery super store cashier, the barista at the coffee shop on the corner,  the salespeople at your favorite clothing store, the girl in the fast food drive thru, the guy at the gas station, the dudes washing your car, the person who does your dry cleaning, your kid's teacher, the people that pick up your trash and deliver your mail.

<snip>

Be Kind To Service Workers Day also includes other people who provide service - teachers, nurses, doctors, librarians, cops, and those that pick up your trash even!

But, still. If Sydna had known, she should've come out and said that. "Rubbish" just.. isn't nice. You know? Maybe it's just me.
Sorry - I should have quoted the post I was responding to.  My response was to Anthony, not Sydna.  I've posted too much weirdness around here myself to ever call someone else's theory "rubbish" - besides which, as you said, it's not nice.

ETA:  Fixed it now. :)

The there is the option that Malcolm was Harry's father (as in raised him) but not his biological dad. Maybe Harry's mom was already pregnant and Malcolm was so in love with Maggie that he accepted the child as his (after all, he has a good heart). It would give another spin to the story and we would have to find out who the father was and what...

Actually, I think there's a WoJ somewhere that Malcolm is Harry's father.  But maybe I'm mis-remembering.

Ok thanks!

Somehow I had the impression Harry was at that wedding (imagine Harry at the wedding with the family of Murphy). Clearly i am mistaken.
The only wedding I recall on page is Billy & Georgia's wedding, which was in the short story Something Borrowed (Takes place between Dead Beat and Proven Guilty).

Can anybody tell me the exact time Lisa Murphy married Richard Boughton? If so, in what story is this mentioned?
We find out they're engaged in Blood Rites, Chapter 28.  I don't recall that the wedding date is on page anywhere.

They are great for road trips.  And you really shouldn't be reading while driving;  shame on you!   ;)
Never tried reading while driving.  This is multi-tasking to a level that is beyond my skills!   :P

(But I did try listening to an audio book while driving once.  I found my mind wandered and I missed large pieces of the story.  And not because the story wasn't interesting, I borrowed the book from the library later and thoroughly enjoyed it.  I'm not a listener I suppose.)
