Hm. I'll go easy: Meteoromancy (weather control) mental attack.

Using the inherent animalistic fear of thunder and lightning to slowly torment someone with horrific half seen visions of a dark figure approaching between each blast of lightning.  I can definitely see the consequences being stuff like "afraid of the dark", and "He is Coming"...

I also decided on an easy one...

Entromancy boundary rating increase.

I assume you mean Entropmancy?  IE chaos magic...
-Random events continually interfere with anyone trying to enter or exit the zone, such as a rabid cat jumping at your face, a police car pulling you over, your keys getting lost whatever seems appropriate...

Hello all,

I was wondering something about "at the speed of Evocation", are you allowed to generate power the same way you would with Thaumaturgy or do you have to do it the same way as evocation, ie no real prep time?

8 shift zone wide Darkness evocation attack.

You summon an inky blackness which slowly devours light and the life energy of those within an area, when it finally recedes it leaves only desiccated husks.  If someone survives they would take Withered style consequences.

8 shift water magic offensive border zone increase, (Basically prevents anyone from entering or leaving a zone).

Hello all,
I had a number of questions on using magic to strengthen a border zone. 

1) Is this offensive or defensive for the purpose of Foci?

2) Does a caster need to add the zone wide cost to the spell, ie using part of the spell power for a zone wide effect?  Example: 10 strength earth magic spell - 8 on the Block, 2 on making it Zone Wide?

3) Could the caster then spend time creating a ward on this new zone border with Thaumaturgy?  I understand time would be a problem but considering that he could turn around and cast another spell to increase the duration by 10 exchanges, this doesn't seem to be an issue?

4) Does this count as a violation of the laws?  It doesn't seem to as the affect won't be killing or even causing harm directly?

Hello all,

I was wondering how you would deal with a character wishing to branch out from their primary patron.  In the case of my game (I am ST), a player wishes to become the host for a powerful outsider and there bye gain new powers outside the scope of their current patron. 

Currently: A spirit of prophecy who provides Cassandra's Tears, & Sponsored Magic for Storm stuff with Divination at the speed of Evocation.
Add On: Outsider with some recovery powers.

Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone uses this ability as it seems very expensive for a fairly limited suite of powers?  Now I do think it could be useful to simulate a series of different pieces of equipment if you wanted an Iron Man style character but frankly it just seems kind of meh for anything else?

An 8 shift fire attack that doesn't use flames.

Channeling the consumption element of fire you direct a foes metabolic process to double exponentially until they starve to death within seconds.

Bathing yourself in soulfire so your enemy sees your true self in all its glory which melts their eyes right out of their skulls...similar to what happens to Pam in Supernatural when she tries to see Castiel's face.

Personally I think he would be mortal, with stunts regarding rapport especially with allowing it to intimidate and distract, Filthy Lucre, and Nose for Competence.

Thank you for your view on the matter, I personally just found that most of the spell attacks get ridiculous and allowing this option will prevent the whole Bazooka spell vs. mortal minion issue we see with Evocators.

Foxfire Water element attack.

Well considering that foxfire is the phosphorescent light emitted by certain fungi on decaying timber.  How about using water magic to transform their clothing into a carnivorous fungus that glows as it devours their flesh?

Hephaestus Sponsored Attack spell, (must create something mechanical not just fire magic.)

Hello all,

I was taking a look at Claws and its Venomous upgrade, and then I got to be thinking about Evocation but I wasn't sure if applying a weapon attack and creating an aspect or some other effect was legal for Evocation, so I thought I would ask the boards?

For instance, lets say I have a 5 power spell using Fire magic or Winter Sponsored Magic?
1) So I can be flinging around a 5 stress attack which just burns them...

2) Or could I have it apply a 2 stress attack, and apply an aspect of Frozen in Place?

3) What about applying a 2 stress attack, and applying a block of 3 on their actions until they break through it?
