How does the reiki spell effect this? Lets say you have a minor mental consequence and a moderate physical consequence, the reiki spell turns the moderate physical consequence into a minor one, but you can only have 1 minor consequence.

Rather than having sponsored magic wards only she should have ritual-2(wards), she also uses defensive magic in duels before the series starts and she uses earth magic in the first book, so I would give her channeling-2(earth) as well.

I would give them:
-1 The Sight
-0 Soulgaze
-1 Marked By Power
-2 Ritualist (divination)

Under divination it says that it can be used for prophesy so this covers a more powerfull version of cassandras tears, sinse you are the oracle of appollo you would have marked by power, soulgaze and the Sight are just usefull abilities for someone to have as a diviner. Depending on whether you are a focussed practioner cultist or an emmissary of power you may or may not have inhuman abilities.

I have a few questions about the lesser magic users. First off you get two focus item slots or four enchanted item slots when you take channelling, but you create these item with thaumaturgy. So can you have some one else create items to fill these slots, or is there a special rule that allows a pure evoker still create focus objects for evocation even though they are created with thaumaturgy?

If it is possible to have item slots that power items that other people have created would it be appropriate to have a minor talent that gives you item slots for this purpose? For example a -1 refresh power taht gives two enchanted item slots(you aren't as efficiant as a true spellcaster) which would automatically upgrade into a full strength refinement if you gain a spellcasting power. Similar to the way the mana static power goes into the spellcasting ability.

And finally what do you think of having a ritualist gain the ability to use thaumaturgy at evocation spead, or theme of magic, instead of elemental magic if they gain channeling? For example a ward weaver gains access to defensive spells from all elements instead of full access to one element, or a diviner gains evocation speed divination(like that all encompassing awareness block in the book).

How is He Who Walks Behind able to sponsor entropic thaumaturgy when he has no magic using ability himself? He can't use entropomancy himself, but he does sponsor the cult in Death Rites allowing them to use a weapons level entropic curse. This doesn't really make sense to me.

I was just rereading Something from the Nightside and realized that since his powers only work in the Nightside John Taylor would have sponsored magic(nightside)-3. His power is fueled by the Nightside and he can't take it out of the Nightside so the Nightside would be a place of power that sponsors his magic, there is a one point reduction of cost because he can't take the power out of the nightside.

While he does have a few abilities such as his stare down power that would be evocation, most of his tricks come in the form of minor magical objects like his aboriginal finger bone and his excorcist coin. So I would probably give him ritual(crafter) rather than channelling.

If you are going to use wod I would use the old world of darkness rules. Just use sorceror for focussed practitioners and use the thaumaturgy rules for mages. Thauamaturgy, from vampire, is split into two parts, rituals which cover thaumaturgy from dresden files and schools that would cover evocation.

Stolen items like you describe will go away at the end of the current session/story arc, essentially, because the creator in question would have little motive to maintain their existence on his dime, as it were. Loaner items are a similar thing, except the creator DOES have a motive since he loaned 'em.  If the recipient is herself a practitioner of some sort and has item slots of her own, she could "adopt" his item, taking it over as one of her own. But that's not everyone.


How many Item slots do the different types of practitioners get. For example how many item slots would a minor talent have or a focussed practioner?

I just read the spoiler about the white council allies and had a question about the venatori, it says that the venatori are capable of basic occult countermeasures but they lack powerfull spellcasters. Does this mean that they only have minor talents? What is the cutoff for a powerfull spellcaster, is it sorceror or focussed practitioner?
