DF Spoilers / Re: Mac [Battle Ground Spoilers]

No mention of the placard in the post mortem and ultimately we didn't see if anything even tried to get into Mac's.  I would assume that Harry will leave the placard with Mac to give the Paranet crew a permanent safe haven, should there be when there is another epic threat to the city.  My thought at this point would be we'll see him defend his bar and patrons in the BAT.

It was obviously meant as a wink and a nod to the Christmas Eve story, but it seemed kind of odd to me that at Mid-Summer, Michael was already telling Harry he was invited for Christmas.  It would have been more cohesive with something like "our home is always open to you".  Anyone else feel like that seemed a bit weird?

I think the chances of Marcone being behind this are non-existent.  It's simply not his style.  Gathering this type of intelligence for later leverage would be his style, but tipping off Harry and Murphy ahead of time by letting them know he's on to them?  Sloppy.  Further, he's demonstrated countless times that he would not permit this type of sloppiness from his underlings.

First, I think that is probably reading too much into it.

That being said, if there is significance in her calling him that, I think it actually would indicate the reverse--a White Council Wizard would be a capital "W" wizard, like an official title.  Wizard lowercase is just Mab calling him what he is, a wizard.  There is of course nothing keeping Mab from referring to him as a "wizard" and having it mean nothing has changed with his WC status.  I would tend to think it's her way of acknowledging he's a slight improvement over your generic "mortal".

I think Billy and Georgia are likely culprits to go.  They fit the bill (npi) of characters that Harry would feel devastated about losing but who haven't really been integral parts of the story as of late.  I think Murphy is going to be safe (from being killed off), because overly obvious foreshadowing aside, Christmas Eve tells us that Harry saved the day by getting different parties to back down, which would indicate he's thinking rationally.  Murphy dying would likely involve a lot more buildings burning to the ground.

Great topic!  Despite the Christmas Eve story indicating a huge number of deaths, I think Battleground will wind up being comparable to the Battle of Winterfell in GoT--a few key characters and lots and lots of unnamed going to their deaths.
