So one has to be too much of a threat to be an easy target, too well-connected to be killed without revenge, and not too much of a threat for said revenge to be acceptable.
Coming round with a Titan sounds like it raises you to the level of threat where risking Mab's wrath is worth it.

The eye does not make you invulnerable. It does make you a big target. One they have to hit before Harry can use it.
