Title: What about crowd sourcing ideas to get Peace Talks jumpstarted?

After fifteen books, I wouldn't be surprised if Jim was having a major case of writer's block/burnout.  I harbor no illusions about ever being an author of fiction, and the Dresden Files are right up there with Niven's Ringworld books IMHO; so I have no problem donating any ideas I come up with for free with no strings attached.  I'll even start:

1) Harry's daughter moves in with him.

Tapped as the local representatives of their perspective factions of the Domestic Accords, Mouse and Mister must host peace talks that aim to bring about a renewed armistice between the Canine and Feline Courts.  But peace is hard to obtain under the best of circumstances, and these are far from ideal.

With Cat Sith, one of the highest ranking Felines of the Court, still missing in action, hackles are raised across the peternatural community. Some of Sith's peers suspect foul play, while certain packtions of the Canine Court still believe the Felines to be responsible for the pupnapping several years back.

Mouse and Mister will have to fight tooth and nail to prevent an all-out war from breaking out, or the world they know might very well be torn... to kibble and bits.

They're definitely not over it.  And it doesn't help that Mouse and Mister lived with the guy that killed the toad demon that also happens to be high on their hierarchy.

And the toads haven't forgotten that MAN with the properly colored eyes, green, who killed the Major frog lord, while the lord was properly chasing that FEMALE.

As such, the toads continue to provide reports to the lords of the great ponds, waiting for the day when the lords will bring justice to the MAN.

Harry is assaulted in his new digs by two goons but they soon figure out it is a case of mistaken identity as another man named Harry Dresden owes their employer an extreme amount of money.  Before they leave the two goons decide to teach Harry a lesson for his smart-assery and pee on his rug.  Harry then sets out to meet this other, wealthy, Harry Dresden and get his rug replaced.

Meanwhile, the Marine Association thinks both sides are pathetic, so they send the Otters to represent them as a calculated insult, knowing full well they won't be able to focus for more than a few minutes on the proceedings.

Harry and a crew of misfits get fired into space to prevent an Asteroid from hitting the planet.  The conflict is Harry trying to work magic without destroying the spacecraft he is in while stopping the asteroid.

Harry sits Maggie down and says " it involved a magical rope, some first-aid on bruises, and your mom trying to eat me." That should put her off romancing boys for awhile.

Harry wakes up in a hospital, after having been thrown off of one of his Grandfather's horses.  He is 17 years old and it was all a dream.

Or, Harry wakes up in a mental institution, where he's spent the last dozen years as a patient.  He's informed that a serial prankster posing as a mailman was lacing people's mail with LSD.  Harry had a particularly bad reaction to it, resulting in brain damage that caused hallucinations. 

Additionally, his doctors inform him that his refusal to analyze aspects of his past within the hallucination was his mind's way of avoiding memories that would conflict with his fabricated reality.

Upon his return to the real world, he meets his fellow asylum patients, each of whom he's cast as different allies or enemies in his delusion.  To help him accept that his memories are false, he's shown security footage of him acting out his fantasy in the asylum's common area, where others joined him in his frantic behavior.

Ultimately, his "case files" are actually the detailed patient files logged by Dr. James Butcher, who has been working with him to try and break through the delusion.

Harry learns that dinosaurs were really superintelligent sentient beings when Sue summons Harry back 65 billion years into the past using double-reverse temporal necromancy.  In order for her to return him back to present-day Chicago, Harry must spend an afternoon giving piggyback rides to baby T-Rexes, just to even things up.

Harry will learn about assassination plots and while trying to host the peace talks will also end up trying to prevent the plots to take place. Also: Molly will start to make open approaches at Harry and Harry is going to be confused about it.

I'm a guy who is constantly being accused of flirting with women, even though it's not intentional flirting, it's simply how I talk. So I'm pretty sure that I'd enjoy that kind of banter :) but Harry has some kind of issues from what I see. He considers talking about certain topics and sleeping with someone a lot closer than I do. It makes some scenes twice as funny to me :)

Harry kinda reminds me of a couple of 12 year olds giggling and going red over a porn magazine they stole/found around their granddad's house.

I was fairly open about many things for a long time... but since I spent some time in hospitals and treatments where I had to be naked in front of other people, including ladies my age or younger, I simply stopped caring.

I'm in a mind of the opening of "To Sail Beyond the Sunset" by Robert Heinlein.  She was totally hot and totally naked, and no one gave her a second look, because of the situation.

I didn't read the book yet, just the synopsis, and from that I'm guessing that the book probably didn't need more sex scenes...

Good for you. I'm still single, slowly rivaling Dresden as far as relations with women are concerned.

So... what can go wrong at Peace Talks...? Wait, no, let me rephrase that: What can't go wrong at the upcoming Peace Talks?

Obviously Black Council members will definitely do their best to do some sabotage. I'm suspecting some false flag operations. Probably in Chaptera 2-4.

I'm wondering how the first debate between Titania and Mab since Hastings will go. Also... there was one thing I've been wondering about for some time: In Summer Knight, at the stone table, didn't they at least exchange a few words?

Lara will push for peace for sure. It is in her best interest. Who's the leader of the Black Court? Dracula? I'm wondering about discovering further feuds between various supernatural nations. It seems like Reds got along with Blacks, but the Black Court and White Court seem to have a thing going on.

Fomor will probably try to jump in as well. The Dark Elves probably will be sticking up for Winter, because Molly.

Heinlein did two different kinds of books.  Ones for boys (Like Starship Troopers) and his Adult books.

None of them really have sex scenes in them.  They TALK about sex a bunch, and different kinds of configurations for families, but no actual descriptions of the acts.

And To Sail isn't nearly as full of it as is Friday.  I REALLY liked that one.

So, Wardenferry, you really want that on your to-read list.
