Title: Sample Chapters?

So are we getting sample chapters for taw? 


Cause by my count that would mean august would be the start.

Anyone have any idea?

The prologue & 1st chapter were freely given out at the SDCC booth, & think if asked, Penguin would give the okay to release these.  I've already sent Pricisilla a PM on the matter.

At SDCC I acquired a Advanced Reader copy & on the back are a list of places, events & capaign where said advanced book is to be distributed.

The second chapter was released as a sample here (http://io9.com/an-exclusive-glimpse-of-jim-butchers-next-book-aeronau-1689098028) back in March.

That is only an excerpt from chapter 2, not all of it (its about 1/3rd of the chapter by a quick guesstimate).  Plus, I think people would appreciate being able to read the prologue & chapter 1.

Both were released on a easy to grab leaflet that was at the Penguin booth, so I wouldn't think Penguin would have issue putting those chapters up if asked.  I myself have the advanced reader's copy that was available to people following the @acerocbooks twitter account while at SDCC 2015 (which I did attend).

I hope to give a review of sorts this weekend, but I warn you I'm horrible at these kind of things.  I'd also like to post pictures of the cover & back of my advanced reader copy, but I need to check with the mods on that.  I mean, I can't see any issue, but maybe I'm missing something.

They will be doing a sample chapter starting the month prior to release, per Priscellie.  Such things have usually been one chapter per week, released each Tuesday.

To the main webpage, here is an example

You have to click books at the top of the page, not forum.

Oh, the agony! I want desperately to read Jim's new book, but I don't want to spoil it for mysel! I want a completely new experience from the very first word when I open the cover the first time. Yeah, it was an interesting prologue, but that one thing made me less inclined to read the whole book. Where's the originality?

You know, I had absolutely no desire or interest to read the Cinder Spires series, but damn it, I went and read the sample prologue out of curiosity, and know I'm sucked in and am going to read the series... Damn you Jim Butcher, damn you for being such a good writer...
