I am up for trip to MO if J & S are going to be GOH! MarsCon was such a blast with them in the lead--I hope the MO folks know to expect a huge response with J & S there...MarsCon wasn't, but they quickly got up to speed!

Pre Reg for MisCon is CLOSED. Now it's registration on site only up to limit of 1000 attendees :( VA to MO is a long way to travel not knowing if one can even attend or not :*(

If you get there early enough it shouldn't be a problem, I managed to get in when they had George R.R. Martin as the guest of honor.

To help with any confusion, MisCon is in Montana, which has the state abbrviation of MT... MO is Missouri, where Jim lives and usually squeezes in once or twice on each tour since he can go HOME at night when it's done :) just say'n cause ya'll getting my hopes up talking about seeing him in MO.
Although Jim Harrison, founder of Bushidokan Karate, is in Missoula, MT now too... could visit two idols with one vacation... something I'll have to consider.

I'm about 100 miles from Toronto, so I really hope I can see Jim there. I only wish it were a week earlier, since my favorite band will be releasing their next album in Toronto on 3/30 and that would make the weekend even more awesome. Looks like we may just have to make back to back trips.

I am registered for Miscon in MT!! YEAH!! I've never been to Montana and it's going to be a nice long weekend over Memorial Day...I have a room reserved @ the host hotel too! WAHOOOOOO! :) It's so much fun never growing up! :)

Too bad Glacier National Park is not open in May, beautiful place to visit and is only a few hours away from Missoula.

I live in Toronto so it's great to hear Jim will be at Ad Astra this year! Ad Astra is a fantastic convention and getting my copy of Cold Days signed will be the icing on the cake!!

Jim just informed me that this list is FAR from complete. He'll be making a lot of fans all over the country (and Canada!) very happy this year. We can't announce his attendance until the cons in question announce him, so we need to stay silent for the time being, but yes. There will be squee. :D

Since nothing official can be said until things are announced by the cons and other event holders, what are the ODDS that Jim will make it onto the East Coast this year? Maybe near Philadelphia or New York? I just got my girlfriend hooked on Dresden, and I think she'd love to get to see him at a signing. Does he ever go to Dragon*Con?

I tried to locate this on the Wyrdcon page, but it might be too early - does anyone know when Jim is going to be there? The whole convention looks interesting, but I might not be able to swing a flight and the hotel for the full convention.

Not this year! The new events (which I need to wait another two days to announce formally) will be in Houston, Baltimore, and Wichita.

Also, Jim is in the process of adding TWO MORE cities to the list I recently gave, which are GUARANTEED to send a chorus of squees echoing throughout the land! It'll probably be another month before I can announce those two, though.

I made undignified squeeing noises and woke up my husband when I read this this morning... It means I have to work on the costume I have planned even harder. You have no idea how thrilled I am at this - seriously, hearing that Jim is going to be in attendance has just made the trip and the convention worth it.
And I can't wait to hear the MD appearance date/location. My neck of the woods, and during a bit of a lull in excitement in the year. I have an idea of what it might be, but I could be completely wrong, as I am wont to be.

Mostly the Dresden Files Spoilers section (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/board,3.0.html). The latest I have heard on DF publication schedules is a (very) unofficial estimate of "late-late 2013 or 2014 (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/topic,34739.msg1852149.html#msg1852149)." Other than being required to write the first 2 chapters before the end of April so that they could be recorded in the paperback of Cold Days, Jim hasn't really even started that book and is working on wrapping up the first book of his new Cinder Spires series (source (http://archeddoorway.com/2013/04/12/interview-with-jim-butcher/)). The Cinder Spires has its own section on these boards too.
There are vast amounts of conversation/speculation about the contents of future books posted in those sections all the time.
