At least the last Molly cover matches the standard stereotype for women on fantasy novel covers. She's standing in a position that has GOT to be uncomfortable at the very least, but which accentuates her... body structure.

I read the first book of the October Daye series and didn't like it. I liked the writing but didn't like the character. I don't know why that is a common treat for modern urban fantasy heroines but it seems so. It is still a nice series along as you can ignore it ;D
Yeah. I can't. I have limited reading time and I'm pretty unforgiving on authors. I like Jim so much because Dresden actually thinks and acts according to his understanding. Most other characters do the same. It's refreshing.I stopped with Kim Harrison for that reason. She takes it to extremes I never read anywhere else :o

Just to make things clear, I'm not trying to antagonize you because you pulled Shecky ears on his tardiness, my whole idea was to make a joke on Shecky and his claim that he is a dwarf (whitch he even make jokes on himself, reason I do them too, but if you ever feel ofended Shecky just PM, and I'll stop right away). I'll admit that when I realized that this was an April Fools (about as I was reading the Molly covers) I got upset that there wouldn't be a Molly trilogy. We now have to convince Jim that Molly needs her own series.

How so? I figure those shippers would love a development series of Molly without Harry, becoming someone more than she was as an apprentice. Then Harry can come back from Knighting it, and find Molly the woman as opposed to Molly the apprentice/friend's daughter.
But I'm still a Susan shipper. Well, er, not in her current condition though. I just think Harry's had his loves. Maybe one more. But I do have a hard time picturing it being Molly.

yeah, I would have edited that one so that the guy had a staff and the girl would have blond hair. But it didn't really fit with the cover-theme, so no-go.
I was also tempted to leave this original alone and just put title-work on it, and say it was Harry and Murphy. But again, two people do not a cover make.
