Title: We now have a [spoiler] tag, so start using it!
Post by: iago on April 06, 2007, 12:26:23 AM
Mr. Finn has the job of updating our various boards' spoiler policies now that I've installed a spoiler tag for the board.

Please start using it whenever you're posting something with a small amount of spoiler content on a non-spoiler board, or if you're posting an "off-topic spoiler" for a particular spoiler board (for example, if you talk book spoilers on the TV show spoiler board, the book stuff should be inside a spoiler tag).

Spoiler tags when used properly will look like this:

(click to show/hide)

Please make sure to "preview" your posts and make sure that the spoiler tag is working correctly.  (No, we don't have a little clicky-button in the editor to do the spoiler taggy bits when you're posting... I'm not sure how to add that in, so you'll have to type the tag manually for the moment.)

Thanks!

If the spoiler tag is NOT working for you, your browser is "stuck" on an old version of the stylesheet.  Make sure to clear your browser's cache, and then reload -- that should fix it.

Added note: Even on a spoiler board, some people may not have read the new book yet. Please use the spoiler tags discussing anything about the new book that isn't in a new-book-specific thread. For instance, if answering a question in a general question thread, like "Tavi's complete lack of cooking ability" with material from the new book, use the spoiler tag. Meanwhile, "Discussing the New Book, If You Haven't Read It, Keep Out. No, we really mean it" means you don't need the spoiler tag.
