Harry needed to know more about what was in the vault. Hades helped inform him.
If he hadn't, Nick would have gotten all of the artifacts and that would not have met with Mab's plans.

In addition I think he wanted to meet Harry and take his measure. I think someone in the books (Eb maybe?) said that now that Harry has claimed Demonreach more of the big powers are taking notice of him. This might have been an opportunity for Hades to find out a little more about him since he will be pivotal in upcoming events. As well as what Rasins said above. Always (at least) two reasons there are. -Yoda, probably

Harry and Hades are kind of in the same business; they both watch over vaults with a lot of dangerous stuff inside.

Mostly I think it was to point out they walk the same path from the stars as the same star reborn. We already have seen the same things replying in Harry from everywhere else, Hades was pointing out his own. This could be the same as almost anyone else whose ever sympathized with Harry, from GK and Odin to Mac.

Harry knowing that there are powerful supernatural beings who are watching and rooting for him has to be a boost of confidence.

Otherwise, Harry night not have taken the other artifacts, concerned about that blowing back on him from Hades. Hades probably gives each champion a pep talk like that. Kind of a Congrats, take the thing and get out thing.

That's a good point. Had Harry not had the go ahead to take the other artifacts he might have resorted to different measures to keep them out of Nic's hands (like starting the ball rolling early). This could have greatly changed the scenario with a worse outcome.

Personal curiosity primarily. It is not as if Hades mentioned much that would not have been obvious in the moment or afterwards. I think Hades just wanted to meet Harry - a person who he clearly feels some kinship of spirit.
Got to remember, these gods are people as well as beings of power - especially those greek gods.

Relatedly, it's one of the things I liked about the Iron Druid (if you can get past the simple past to present tense chapter shifts); the Olympic gods were pretty universally depicted as jerkfaces. Zeus especially.
