DFRPG / Need help Finishing a Creature
« on: November 17, 2011, 07:05:16 AM »
While thinking of arguments for Sanctaphrax, I came up with an amusing idea for a creature  but had no real idea but some basic concepts.

The base idea was a little gremlin with Gigantic tusks and maybe some speed powers. I can think of no name nor justification for why...but want to make it anyway.

HC: Little Dude with Huge Tusks
T: They're F*ing Heavy

Powers:
[-1] Natural Weaponry: Tusks: Weapon 2
[-1] REALLY Big Tusks: Tusks are Weapon 4
[-2] Inhuman Speed

Skills:
+3: Fists Athletics

DFRPG / Breath Weapon uses what Skill now?
« on: November 11, 2011, 09:19:05 AM »
I know by the RAW Breath weapons use Guns, but honestly using eyebeams and firing a handguns are only similar in a very distant way. I feel like another skill would be more appropriate. Does anyone think it should default to another skill or should it be on a case by case basis?

Also eye beams rule.

DFRPG / Help with a Hood
« on: October 18, 2011, 09:51:36 AM »
Hey I was working on a character for a (hopefully) impending Pbp game and need a bit of assistance refining some Aspects and I would like some advice about Stunts. I am not sure how damage boosting stunts and the dual wielder stunts interact. If you have any suggestions, please feel free. Also I really need help naming his Iop, but I suck at naming things. The character is based on the Marvel character the Hood but instead of forming a group of supervillians after his initial adventures, he decides to go vigilante instead.

The power level is submerged.

DFRPG / Chain Compels
« on: November 12, 2010, 06:05:42 AM »
Interesting mechanical idea I have been kicking around for a while. What if you structured your aspects and the associated compels to all logically link together in a chain. That is to say if one aspect is compelled and then logically all the others would have to be compelled in turn as they would lead into one another.  Not a very long lived character in a campaign I would think but it is something I think sounds very interesting in theory.

Any idea what that chain of compels could be or thoughts on the subject?

DFRPG / Multiple Aspect Manuever ?
« on: November 04, 2010, 04:24:06 AM »
Is it possible to perform a manuever in combat that results in 2 aspects? For example,  a martial artist tries to sweep out his opponents legs appplying the Knocked on Your Ass and the Dazed aspects. I ask because I was rereading the section on Thaumaturgy and came across the section where is is possible to apply multiple aspects with a Thaumaturgic spell.
