Rereading PT...I never post, but hadn’t seen this thought yet and HAD to get your take...
But since Grey kept track of Justine in PT and got close to her...do you think Nemesis worked to infect him!?!? What a huge impact tii hi is could have, if so!!
-
Probably not. If Nemesis was mass spreading like a pandemic reality would have been over long ago.
-
His defending was more watching from a distance IIRC so he should be safe.
-
Well, Jim wants to do some sort of spinoff with Grey, apparently beyond just the short story. So either no, or he's going to have to get better in a hurry.
-
I doubt it, he is a secret double agent, so Nemeses might still think he is working for one of it's allies.
-
Maybe. There's enough there for Harry to be exceptionally suspicious of him from here on out.

Perhaps, but you'd think that Vadderung would be on it, since he is one of his operatives.

I hope not, because I love Grey!

Is he? Or has Vadderung just used him at some point. And if Mab and Titania can't figure out their respective daughters are infected, I wouldn't be surprised if Odin had trouble figuring out that a contractor he sometimes uses is infected.

Not saying it is impossible, but it depends when Vadderung aka Kringle aka Odin first bought him.
Skin Game pages 375-376 Harry questions because Grey is a mercenary, he can be bought.
Kringle sat back in his seat at that, considering the question. Then he said
"If you buy this man, he stays bought. It's who he is."
I arched an eyebrow. "You are asking me to trust a stranger's professional integrity?"
"I wouldn't do that," Kringle said. "I'm asking you to trust mine."
Lord knows I could be wrong, but I believe that Odin would know if Grey was infested.
-
If it was that easy, I don't think Nemesis would be that much of a threat.

Odin can't be everywhere any more than Harry can. Nemesis isn't just one thing.
-
Odin doesn't need to be everywhere.

Odin doesn't need to be everywhere.
Perhaps, but the point he was making to Harry is what counts.

I take that to mean that Odin bought Grey a long time ago. Grey may subcontract, but he still belongs to Odin. Not saying it is impossible that he'd get infected with Nemesis, just saying that I
think it improbable.

I think he may have hired him from time to time. I don't think he owns him and hires him out.

Not in that way, but there are other ways that Grey may be bound to Odin, he is a scion after all. And no, I am not saying of Odin.
-
I don't see how being a scion of a skinwalker would bind him to Odin or make it likely he is.

Is his father a skinwalker? Or do we just assume that he is because he can change his body? So can Listens to Wind and Rivershoulders. We know he didn't like his father, but did he say he was a skinwalker? Need to look into Norse Mythology, there maybe some skin changers there.
-
He basically says he is the scion of a skinwalker in SG, and Jim confirmed it.

hugin and munin do for Odin what Anduriel does for Nicodemus though. They watch others and bring him the details. Or more precisely I'm thinking, they just know things in their area of expertise, thought and memory.

Perhaps Loki is a skinwalker in the DV? (He's certainly depicted as an insanely powerful shapeshifter in the legends -- sufficiently skilled that he turned into a female animal, got pregnant, and gave birth.)
Goodman Grey might either be Odin's pseudo-grandson via his father Loki, or he might actually *be* Loki, or a persona/mask thereof. (i.e. Grey is to Loki, as Vadderung is to Odin)

Yeah, after I went to bed I thought of Loki. Was Lokie Odin's brother or son? Because we do know that Goodman didn't like his father.

Loki was his blood brother. Not son. Marvel changed it for drama. Brother, ClintACK.

That is what I thought, but Grey still could be Odin's nephew. Son of Loki and a mortal woman.
-
Actually, I always wondered if he was Loki himself. Odin brought Loki in from the Jotuns.
Be a fun spin if Balder was Nemfected
-
Since Grey is a scion of a Naagloshi and given what Nemesis is... I find it unlikely that he is infected.
Thomas on the other hand...

Do we know that for a fact? I need to go back and reread, but I don't remember him saying what he was the son of, only that whoever or whatever he was, he wasn't very good and he didn't care for him. So it could be an assumption we've made here and repeated it enough times that we have all come to believe it.

It's the eyes.
