Sounds like some sort of temporary network affliction hit you -- since you're here, I have to assume you eventually connected fine. If you could show me a screenshot of the error message when you encounter it next, it might help me troubleshoot.

Actually, I can figure out what to do based on this (the screenshot just helps sometimes). What I need to know is what your geographic location is, in order to report the problem.

In general though when this error pops up, there's a temporary server problem somewhere that you're intermittently hitting. Cloudflare is pretty good about noticing these problems and fixing them, but if I can file a report indicating what geographic location you're accessing the site from, it may help them zero in.

I'd ask for other technical stuff, but given the "elitaret" thing, probably too troublesome. :)

Well, we're both in Southern England, if that helps?
Or do you need something more specific?

TBH it's passed for me now...

the google agrees, and said it was most likely temporary acting up.

i asume middle of no where is not the best answer to geographical location (even if it is accurate

(click to show/hide)
is that specific enough to help?

(thanks for not trying to get me to do complicated tecky things because i would have had to ask for step by step instructions twice :) )

(it has also not happened to me for about 30 minuets)

I don't know if this is related to yesterday's issue, but today I keep getting that the server is down and that there is no cache to refer to.
Still slow too.

Dunno that I've been experiencing the site as slow at all in the last several weeks. Hm.

I'll turn off Cloudflare for the short term.

Not crashing today ... dealing with my attempt to troubleshoot an apache (webserver) config issue. Should be all settled down now.

(Also, ended up ditching cloudflare usage for this site -- ultimately not all that necessary and with their denial of service induced problems, it was actually degrading our site performance instead of improving it.)

I thank you for your service to us. This is a really fun forum and I thank you for keeping it running smoothly.

Really, I can't thank you enough.
