Just re-listened to my audiobook at work and came across something that might be either a blooper, or might be something significant to entity's of Power. (all emphasis mine)
Chapter 28
[king Corb's appearance] ...Between the design and the bizarre, disturbing imagery of the embroidery upon the sea-colored fabrics of each layer of robes, I was feeling a little queasy.
...His skin was pocked and warty and a sickly blue-green where it wasn't ghostly pale...
[Ethniu's first appearance] ...They looked like she'd had them bronzed a long time ago, and the bronze had been covered with verdigris and then polished irregularly....Flickers of metallic and colored crystals were embedded in that bronze exoflesh.
Chapter 29
...It was her eyes that bothered me. Or rather, her eye. One of her eyes was a crystalline emerald green.
...She paused for a moment, and that emerald eye landed on me like a truckload of lead, regarded me, and dismissed me all within half of a heartbeat.
...Her closed eye quivered, and suddenly there was a light behind the scarred eyelid, red and pulsating through the thin skin.
Okay, so what I'm truly pointing out here isn't just the colors, but why. Harry is supposed to be under the influence of his grey-field 'don't-see-me' potion. The only time color is mentioned on a being is when they take notice of those under the potions influence, like Ferrovax and Vadderrung at the party as he was leaving with Thomas and the ladies.
So that bears the question:
Blooper?
Or does King Corb and Ethniu have a kind of locational/reginal intellectus (sp?) that makes them aware of Harry past the potion but not in a way where they're consciously aware enough to ask if someone was hiding under a veil?
Or were they actually aware he was there that whole time as they pulled up in the speeding van at the entrance to the castle, but just ignored him (which might lend credence to her eyeballing him under a veil inside at the party but making no mention of it)?
Thoughts?

My personal theory is that the Eye allowed her to see past most veils
As for Korb, no clue. Maybe the colours were close enough to grey to bleed through, for story telling purposes

Hell, they probably both saw him and ignored him. Why would they bother with him when they knew Mab, Vadderung, and Ferrovax were there?

Ethniu almost certainly noticed him but didn't care. She was the most powerful being in the room, and almost the oldest (except for Vadderung I suspect).
Corb probably didn't consciously notice him but maybe on a subconscious level was aware. Corb isn't the time to just ignore things.
However, both were very focussed on their grand entrance.
