The rules are simple. Name one character in the Dresdenverse that fits in each category. Tell why if you want. Oh, one thing.... sex in marriage is not a given. As some married people, like myself, have learned. :'(
F**K: Andi. While she is not my first choice; she is the safest of the top 5 or so. Lea is too scary. Lara would kill me in the course of the act. Molly is Winter Lady, ask Carlos what that means. And, as for why Andi, ask Bob what makes women great to see. We tend to agree on aesthetics.
Marry: Charity. She is the perfect home-maker. Cooks big meals and can kick butt when necessary.
Kill: I would have to go with most of the guys. Sorry, fellows, but I am straight. Thomas could get a question mark; since he seems to do open-relationships.
-
F - Andi - I have a thing for redheads (who doesn't)
M - Charity is a good choice, but I think I'd rather Murphy. Much prefer someone who can back me up than just raise a family. Besides, I'm past that.
K - I assume we're really talking about the ladies (since I'm a guy and not into them) so I'd have to go with Jenny Greenteeth. Never did like her.
-
Well, I turn 42 in a couple weeks and I feel like I am "past that." Charity can swing a mean hammer. Murphy may need me to reach for things too much and at average height that is sometimes a stretch.
-
If I have to kill one female character it would be Ancient Mai. Etiquette gives me fits.
-
LOL ... making room for a younger member of the council to become a member of the SC .... HARRY!!
-
Harry would never want to be on SC. Though, he could be conned into it.
-
Who said he'd want to be on it?
-
Who said he'd want to be on it?
Who said he'd have a choice?
-
I think all three of us can agree that SC is not on Harry's X-mas list; but, sometimes, you are forced to accept something other than coal for being naughty. like a grey cloak or a SC position.
-
F Andi. Marry Molly. Kill Murphy.
-
f: Thomas, obviously. If he shows restrain great, if not...it will be worthy anyway :) (second, healthier option, would be Kincaid)
M: Harry
Kill: So many options...but I think I'll go with Nicodemus. Second option, the Nagloshii.

Watch out, Dina is breaking out her wild side. Just joking!

Wow, what a tone deaf topic for the times. ;)
Sex with Nicodemus if he’s into it. After 2000 years, he must have some darkly intriguing interests and skills. Fifty Shades of Grey, move over. 2000 Lashes of Lord Nico. :)
Marry Marcone, obvs. He’s handsome, rich, fit and intelligent with a good sense of humour.
I want Butters written out. He’s obviously fan service to the point where it breaks my suspension of disbelief and jars me out of the story.

Ananda
I never even considered the 50 Shades angle .... Hmmmm .... LOL

Well if that is the angle there is none better than Mab. It would be a real experience. If you survive that you can think about the other two.
-
Well, before the birth of Bonnie; I would have had Lash in the running. Sex is heavy mental and she is all kinds of mental. But, I don't want to do the head-birth thing.

I could not agree more.

The one time I have seen this game played on TV was on Archer. Three female characters were going through coworkers personal files and making choices. So, it seems to be a uni-sex game to me.

Silly person, everyone knows from Butters that time is a river and it's the door that is a jar. :)
-
Fuck Marci.
Marry Georgia.
Kill Kirby.
-
Someone has strong ties to the Alphas.
-
F - Molly - consequences be damned, she's hot and a nice girl.
M - Mab - She's kinda my type :) And I may be reading too much into this, but I think that Mab is a genuinely nice person who does bad things because she has to fulfill a role.
K - Hm... this is a difficult one. I can't say, that there are any characters that I dislike enough to see them permadead. Oh wait! Rudolph! Yep. Rudolph the brownnose is one to get killed ASAP.
-
Yeah, I want Rudolph dead too. But, I want him to suffer in a sanitorium for awhile.
-
Hmm... I think I'd be happier with skinning, pulling nails and pouring salt and booze over his body...

I'm not defending Rudy, but ... We really don't know his motivations. For all we know the Rampires could have had his kids as hostages.
Based on his actions, I'd like nothing more than for him to be thrown in with The Ebs in the Erlking's court and forced to face all his worst Supernatural fears. But to be fair, I'd like more of the story before consigning him to that.
-
While innocent until proven guilty is the standard; but, it is really to want the worst when the person is guilty of being an A$$hole.

Ah, that would be true, if we only took Changes into consideration. I'm talking about his whole presence in the books. From being a stuck up toad to being a backstabbing piece of flaming monkey poo. Changes was only the cherry on top.
-
Disappointing, since he started out marginally decent enough in FM.
-
Well, I haven't read the first 3 books in a long time. My reading cycle is usually 4-15. But in Fool Moon he seemed as a character that had a crush on Murphy and would have otherwise been a decent albeit annoying character. He moved to an entirely different position. Brown-nosing in Death Masks, Brown-nosing in Proven guilty... etc.
-
Nah, the big change in Rudolph happen between FM and GP. In FM, he had a rookie mentality but had loyalty. In GP, he was giving everyone attitude.
-
And that's kinda weird. Stressful moments tend to help building camaraderie not point out douchebags.
-
I think he was denying what happened and blaming others for his situation.
-
Or something more nefarious might be happening.
-
I guess we'll wait and see... in a decade or two.
-
I guess we'll wait and see... in a decade or two.
Sharing the despair. But, there is hope for next year.
-
There is always hope :) it's what I keep telling to myself whenever I get turned down by a woman :P
-
I rarely tried when I was single. I have no skill at flirting.
-
I rarely tried when I was single. I have no skill at flirting.
People around me keep telling me, that I constantly flirt with women. The sad part is: I'm not even aware of it. And I most certainly can't see when women respond positively to me flirting T_T
-
My wife has pointed it out to me more times than I have noticed myself.
-
Women tend to feel that we are being too obvious but men are oblivious. I don't say that happens "always" but it's quite common.
-
Yeah, I'm not very good at doing subtle or catching subtle. Vagueness leads to madness.
-
I have that problem with words. I try to be quite precise with my words and I expect the same so sometimes I miss the nuances of what is been said. Or read too much in them.
-
With most people, I go with the simple idea of "question asked, answer given." It works a fair amount of time.
-
... are you guys 'murricans?
-
I am not (that is why Spanish is my maternal language). I am from Argentina.
-
... are you guys 'murricans?
Yep, I am in the U.S. I live in Kentucky and I can see Cincinnati outside my window.
-
Which country do you call home?
-
Which country do you call home?
Netherlands. I am trying to get up now.
-
"Do or do not. There is no try."
-
"Do or do not. There is no try."
Well I did succeed.
-
Most days I succeed as well. Though, for the life of me, I don't know why I keep trying. Must be out of habit. :)
-
Which country do you call home?
Sweden here.
-
Oh, really? We have a couple of members from Sweden but I didn't know about you.
On the top of my mind, I don't remember other forum members from Netherlands, Arjan.
-
Dina is too an American. South American, but still .... :D
As to me ... I'm in the US as well.
-
Urban dictionarydefines murricans:
The label a U.S. citizen (usually a white male) who has no skills applicable to society, nothing particularly interesting about themselves, and very little knowledge regarding anything outside of NASCAR usually gives themselves to compensate for the individuality they lack.
ALTERNATIVELY:
A man or woman who has fought for this country.
-
I don't think Dina fits this description; she's better than that. Funny enough, I bear a striking resemblance to both parts.LOL
-
Dina is too an American.
That's why I said American, not Murrican. LOL
-
:)
If you had said American I would have done a post saying basically what Rasins said. We are raised as Americans because we believe in the unity of the continente.
-
I had to look up firestarter's "murricans." That was a new one for me. And, yes, Dina is definitely American.
-
"Do or do not. There is no try."
Third option, fail spectacularly ;)
-
Maybe that can go under "do not" but with style.
-

Or it'll just go under ... like a certain spaceship.

It's no surprise since I neither post much here nor ever told anyone, but I am Dutch too ;)
As to the thread: I'd go for Molly on the first two, which necessitates putting Mab in slot 3 (to avoid the immediate disaster).
-
F' Murphy. she's cute, toned and has long term commitment issues
Marry Gard. beautiful and knowledgeable with an impish sense of humor when you get on her good side.
K-that little weasel who went over to internal affairs- come on a little payback for everything he's done to Murphy SI and harry.
-
Nobody likes Rudolph. That is good Yesss, very good.
-
But only if we can torture him first.
-
Physical torture, Psychological torture. Rinse. Repeat.
-
Physical torture, Psychological torture. Rinse. Repeat.
YES, Please!
-
mental torture. it will last longer. I don't think he has much endurance
-
Physical torture can be prolonged with patience. Ask most married men; we know.
-
been married for 20+ years. trust me mental pain, far worse. just so long as my wife doesn't cook.
-
I do most of the cooking. No worries there.
-
LOL
-
my wide said she comes from 4 generations of women who don't cook. my father in law saw me as a kindred spirit. I cook well. My wife 'commits dinner"
-
LOL ... my mother raised all four of us sons to cook, do housework, laundry and all that. She often said we'd make wonderful wives one day.
