When I make a series of polls on The Dresden Files Facebook Group - (pick least favourite each round and eliminate method) - Peace Talks/Battle Ground treated as one entry won 4th place (1. Skin Game 2. Changes 3. Dead Beat).

That's about as much as I can objectively tell about it.
Listening it was fun but personally I'd put it beyond top 10 - I had issues.

It's definitely both one book with Peace Talks, but also in a way completely different - but that was Jim's plan - Ethniu was meant to be sudden twist of WHAT THIS BOOK IS REALLY ABOUT.

Molly is the logical candidate for Harry, if she became mortal again.  However, I have a feeling that while Harry is getting himself out of the Winter Knight's job, Molly will make the choice to remain an immortal.  It's mostly just a feeling, but Molly has said that her work as the Winter Lady is important.  I can't picture Molly running away from her responsibilities unless there was someone ready to jump into her current position.  I suppose Lea could do the job, but that doesn't feel right to me either.  (Even if I ignore the possible virginity element to the job.)   

I have feeling Faerie Courts shall be destroyed by end of BAT, so while Molly will survive - mantle of Winter Lady shall not. (Nor Mothers nor Mab).
And that will also of course free Harry from Winter Knight.

No Winter Court, no Winter Court responsibilities.
Black Court of Vampires shall be blackmailed (sic!) to guard Outer Gates in new age, so they shall get a free hand in robbing graveyards from bodies, but won't be able to prey on mankind as much

One question is will Harry ever be mature enough to have a decent relationship with any woman?
By that, I mean there was an element of "mommy" in both Susan and Murphy.  There is a part of Harry that wants to be mothered, perhaps because he never had one, and the "sage" advice both women gave Harry filled that void.

Was it with Susan? I had a feeling she was quite a dummy at least in first trilogy. (I'd say that could definitely be a thing with Luccio though).
But then Dresden's lifestyle so far never sort of lead to him having relationship beyond dating, that's another question. (Which is another reason I wished Mursden was longer a thing.)

So if Nemesis is from the Greek Pantheon, what would that mean exactly?  That part; or a single member, of that pantheon was tainted in some unknown way and was cast out of this reality and then spawned the rest of the Outsiders, or took them over if they were already an existing entity in their own universe, and now wants back in with what are either her children or new friends?

It's possible real Nemesis was also tainted by Adversary once upon a time.

Or if we take more Pratchettian and less Abrahamic vision of Metaphysics - maybe if White God took over as main honcho (not being real Creator but more assuming this mantle due to Abrahamic religions dominations) he forced pagan gods to resign and stop meddling in mortal affairs. But some of them rejected - flew through Outer gates and become a Walkers. This can explain why Walkers are most suitable Outsiders to dwell in this world. Beside is real Nemesis, Behind is of course Euridica, and so on XD

This may also mean Wrestler Olympians Book won't be just quirky funny sidequest before BAT but big important infodump.

However Molly isn't Maeve.  However I guess you cannot blame Carlos for guilt by association.  That is if he knew how Maeve really was.

Srsly if Lady - Maiden status is suddenly big Winter's secret I'm gonna be very MEH. I know it fantasy series, but it does not sounds like aspect of Mantle you can keep in secret. Not for a long run, not from White Council.

I could buy it if Thomas made deal with Nemesis and infected Justine only afterwards as a way to save them. That would be sort of cool.

When he discovered she was with child, which scared the hell out of him.  He may have even tried to talk her into aborting the child..  She refuses and tells him there is one way that she and the child could remain safe... Wait for it.... "All you have to do is assassinate the Atari king of the svartalves, and me and the child will be protected.."  That's when he knew she had him by the short hairs.

The only thing I recall Jim saying is he was from the "fun" end of fundamentalism spectrum. Catholics are not typically considered fundamentalists, so he probably wasn't Catholic.

I'm quite sure he was raised Baptist.

I recall Jim saying something like the Creator could have just retconned reality to make Himself the Creator and how would anyone know the difference. For the italicized portion, I feel like that was what Jim was doing, but that wouldn't make the bolded portion false either.

OK... but then how it worked compared to what you pointed out yourself about beings "not changing their natures". I mean what does it says then about Uriel with his power way beyond our Galaxy, and his memories from beyond Creation? Were they changed by retcon? That open another can of worms - now Creator retconning universe sounds just like this last season of SPN XD

It could be that it's all about will. We've seen older beings with will so powerful that it flattens mortals because the will of a few (or maybe hundreds) of mortals can't compare, but the problem for these older beings is that there are billions of mortals. When the will of a billion mortals is that you're just a story, it probably has an affect on you. When you have a bunch of mortals devoted to you being all powerful or just really powerful, that also probably has an affect on you.

Definitely sups can use it to anchor themselves - if at least part of what Thomas revealed about Oblivion War is real.

Damn now it gets to me - White Court - whose members are humans are trying to weaken proper superpowers influence over world - so humanity can be thrown into abyss of animalistic instincts and become prey. Thomas says that Oblivionites almost managed to lock Faeries in Oblivion. And Winter Court is guarding Outer Gates.
White Court swore on Empty Night, papa Raith is dealing with Outsiders.

That leads... to many possible tinfoil conclusions.
What if White Court on general are pawns of Outsiders for a long long time...
