Well, there's that curse about the black sand - it would be nice to know what the curse is caused by.

Personally? And yeah, I sat and thought about this before posting. I think for public modding when folks act up the Ashton Boot stomp works best. I've never been a fan of watching a conversation about what is and isn't acceptable go back and forth between a mod and a soon to be banned poster when an Ashton Boot Stomp (ABS&trade) can prevent it by ending it at the beginning, rather after the fuel has been arrived, deployed, and steadily pumped into said flare up.

I think Public lectures and Public lashings and Public debate tend to create a divisive atmosphere amongst people who might not exactly share the viewpoint presented by the mod, and can erode said credibility.. If you are asking for input, I'd say, examine the behavior, run it by the Longtimers, Decide if it's a boot, to the head, or a PM - and go from there.

Also, And I do have a specific thread in mind, I spoke privately to Mickey about it, when there is modding going on where things get changed, interjecting a quippy comment while modding may also fan the fire. Especially if it's political in nature, and a quippy comment could be extended into a direct but opposite response to the comment that had just been modded.

I'm trying. I also attempt to help. I would of said nothing publically if this thread had not asked.

my 2 cents

I'm thinking I need a refund if it's not first edition on a pre-order.

I can wait till they show up on e-bay.

Wait, what? Order 1922 out of 1600?

Does this mean I won't get a first edition?

Awesome, and thank you again.

For game play I think it would be beneficial to have a "Timer" built in somehow that stops the demon from being able to rage. Maybe a mayhem shift then when something bad is done by the spirit, the host has a better chance to restrain him.

I preordered the books and have been reading the PDF's, and there seems to be a lot of "fill" that explains why Dresden is always getting beaten about. So if you're interested in fleshing out your knowledge, I'd say go for it. I myself pre-ordered it because I think JB's printing future Gold now, and anything signed off and dedicated to the series and first edition will be worth some case. That said, I have my old group reading the books because I'mm gonna step out of d20 land and try running this FATE stuff.

Expanding, The books seem more solid now, and I have I think a better idea of what JB's thinking when he's writing the books. There is a lot of humor, and some spoilery stuff too.

Which begs the question - how Canon is this? For instance, the blacked out part after the pyramids in Egypt definitely refer to a scene in Changes.

Does the fill and explanation in the book equate to WOJ status?

(but yes, get the books)

Thanks Iago, for not mass deleting.

Do we get a notification if a receiver is unable to get a message because their box is full?

Yeah, i just thought if you signed up for it and was held accountable for it, you didn't have any room to bitch.

But Fred pays for the hosting, so what he wants he should get. I'm a firm believer in "It's my living room and I'll shoot you if you piss me off". Even if I am the one shot.

One of the times I went through my forum and cleaned out bots/spammers it nearly doubled the performance.

(No, I'm not asking for this tedious headache/job. Just, whoever does it, I feel your pain.)

Yeah, the lousy code they use does lock up the post event.

I hate spiders that ignore robot.txt too.
