And to find out if Rand still has the extended lifespan of a Channeller in his new body. Been driving me crazy.
He channel's something else post-WoT, but I was pretty sure that stuff had been shown to offer similar benefits.

iirc, it wasn't channeling, he thought of the pipe being lit, and it happened, as if in the dream world (can't remember its name)

He was channeling the Other Thing, the one with the confusing Name that previously only the certain Evil folks could use, that gave you the "dragon Fang" in your Eye.
What was it? The True Power from the One Source instead of the One Power from the True Source? I can never remember which is which.

I think it was the True Power. It IS confusing. :P But I still don't think he channeled. I'll check the book sometime soon and get back to you.

Oh, on that technicality I have no Idea. It definitely wasnt the normal Weave channeling, it was way more innate/subconscious (almost accidental) than that. But there was some note about the mark in his eye when it happened that made me give the credit to the True Power, though I would suspect his use of and relationship to it are wildly different that the Granted Access the forsaken where given.

Interesting point, as the forsaken still had to weave True Power just like any other weave. Maybe now that Shai‘tan is his bitch he can get easy access. This still doesn't answer the longevity issue, as all True Power channelers were already One power channelers, and thus have an extended lifespan

Been a while since I read those, so help me out: Any specific reason to think he's not also still a normal channeler? so long as he has some of that ability Id expect the longevity to remain.
In a mroe general statement I think he absorbed so much raw universal power that hes not quite mortal anymore anyway. The Forsaken were able to live a hell of a lot longer than any normal channeler (though they were also caught in the Seal trap, so there's that). I tend to think that at least one of the various abilities he has would be able to keep age at bay (given how mythically powerful he is otherwise, and how relatively easy it seemed to grant some form of immortality to the various evil minions).

In the last scene he tried reaching for the One Power to light his pipe and found nothing here, much to his relief.
Which various abilities? He's just the strongest channeler of all, but not by much. He tested how much he could channel against Tiam and Logan, and found that they can hold nearly as much as he does. Being Ta'veren (spelling) doesn't make anyone live any longer.

I was referring to his normal Channeling (which you say he lost, so nm there) and his apparent monopoly on the True Source, which Im sort of default assuming is the sorce of some of the odder things we saw the Dark do. There's also the example of that Dream-realm boogieman (blanking on his name, the one Perrin fought) that seemed to have achieved his own brand of longevity.

I don't think the Forsaken lived any longer than was expected for a non-Oath Rod using channeler (potentially 600+ years); the 3000 years sealed in the Bore don't count, they were in suspended animation. The Forsaken were promised immortality if they won; they didn't yet have it.
Of course, some of them were recycled into new bodies, but that's different...
I'm not sure any of the evil minions were actually immortal either; gholam might be, since they're constructs like the Green Man who was around for 3000+ years, but I think the ones we see survived in stasis...

Given the cycle, statis is always possible. I thought there was at least the one Forsake that was supposed to never really be fully trapped (driven insane by it?) and the Dream-dude that I thought was implied to a survivor of the previous age?
