Title: Coming to Canada
Post by: cyborg2k on May 28, 2010, 01:29:10 PM
Would Jim Butcher consider coming to Toronto for comic con next march? or to some other Canadian Event as we do have a huge following up here too.

we really would love to see him come to canada

The problem is he may not want to come home. You send us actors, we give you writers.

And Techsupport centers, so they can be "Right shored" instead of Offshored.

PS: I didn't vote "No." Someone else did that.

I did.     It can't be a real poll without a loyal opposition and all.

True so many people come to visit and stay but all our singers seem to go to the US and leave us :(

It still would be cool if he would come travelling to the US is not easy for alot of Canadians (passport office is slow and costly)

**and your right contraversy always makes things great**

You can have Shania and Celine back
No really.
You totally can.

Although I want Garou :)

I voted yes, because he's never coming to Pennsylvania anyways.. so someone else might as well enjoy.

He can visit only if you give us all your poutine. Might consider letting him stay for a week or two if you keep us in a steady supply of it Montreal-style, with the smoked meat.

Svb beat me to the Celine comment.

"near....far.....near....far...." I believe we saw that on Sesame Street.

Even "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" was better in the original Pandora's Box.

Well the other reason I'm sending Celine back.

She's an /amazing/ French Singer.  It's only her English stuff that sucks.

Sorry guys you can keep Celine, she's definitely better suited to singing down there. That and she can't skate.

You can only come to Canada if you come to Calgary, some people do exist west of Toronto after all :D

Yes come on jim come to Canada we will treat you like royalty.....poutine, smoked meat, strong beer :p and all the niceness you can handle.

but seriously we really need to get him to come to the comic con in toronto or something else at least.  I live in Ottawa but we suck when it comes to this stuff at least toronto is big enough

Jim
Please come up to Canada!

There's loads of places in Montreal you'd love to see, besides letting your ever growing fan base to gather together to fawn and awe over you.  ;)

My husband says "Ditto!"

take care everyone!

Yes, but that's assuming we actually want them back, I think soem of us (myself not included) would like Shania back, but the general concensus of Canadians on Celine is that you can keep her.

But can we please borrow Jim for a bit, we promise we'll give him back.

Would love to see Jim do a signing up here sometime!

Montreal or Toronto would be good...

I'd love it if Jim did a signing in Vancouver or Victoria.

Just noticed this...much as I'd love for Jim to come back, he has been to Toronto (Polaris a couple of years back)...I know, I was there!

I'd love for him to come back, but it would be right to share and have him head out west.

My vote's for Calgary.  Must be a hoard of Jim fans here judging by how long I had to wait in the 'reserve' queue in our local library system to get to read 'Changes', and they had 18 copies in circulation.  Yes, of course I'm going to buy it, but I don't generally buy hardbacks because of space constraints - we have 4 adults in our house, all of whom are voracious bookbuyers - it's a matter of survival.
How about coming to 'Con-version' next August?

I'm throwing in another vote for the Vancouver area!

I know a pile of folks in southwestern Ontario who would love a visit from Jim; be that to London, Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge, or Toronto, most of us would find a way to get there, whichever city happened to be so graced.

I believe I speak for everyone in America when I say you can have Jim for a full MONTH if you will take Bieber back

That's all you want, sjsharks? We'll get Bieber locked up in some room somewhere, you start making arrangements to send Jim this-a-way. And this-a-way is Vancouver area!

I second this.

Well....I don't want to have Beiber back here, but I will agree to have him trussed up in a frozen cave in Siberia, hopefully for all eternity.  Assuming Jim agrees to a Vancouver visit.

Having Jim coming to Canada would be awesome.
Having him show up in Montreal during the Montreal Comic Con would be even better!
Though I am certain we'd find a way to get to whichever city in Canada he visted.

take care all,

Cassa

Somewhere in Alberta please *cue puppy eyes*  Edmonton would have me jumping up and down but I'd totally suffer the car ride to Calgary.
