I would like to ask if Harry will go on the Larry Fowler Show again.  It might be an insignificant question on its face, but I think it might be an important moment if it occurs.  Aside from from settling Harry's legal problems, it might represent a turning point in how Harry both handles his mundane problems and presents himself to the outside world.

In Dead Beat, Li Xian drives "an old Chrysler" at the Wardens and the children they were protecting from the undead.  Then Harry has Sue leap on the car, "Sue landed one clawed foot on the street, and the other came down squarely on the Caddy's hood..."

Mopar fans and Cadillac enthusiasts (I used to own a 59 Coupe de Ville myself) were not amused by the mixing up of Chrysler and GM cars.

Not that odd really, Harry probably had a massive power advantage, foci (Justin probably didn't carry his around 24/7) and a lot of anger to back him up, its not unlikely these all combined to give Harry victory over Justin.

I agree with all of the above.  I would add that it is not unlikely that Justin underestimated Harry as well.  Justin probably had a good idea of Harry's potential, but how could he have known that the scared sixteen year old who had just ran away from him would roast HWWB at the gas station; if it was Justin that sent the demon, and make a deal with the Leanansidhe, which gave Harry the confidence to take on his teacher.

Not that the killing of Quintas Cassius isn't an interesting topic, but I'd like to get back to the original question. (Personally, I think Harry just did what a Warden would do when taking a prisoner into custody isn't really practical.  I suspect the way he did in Corpsetaker affected him more deeply.)

I think the deal young Harry made with Lea might have stained him a bit.  After all he traded himself for the POWER to take on Justin and win.  Maybe Harry didn't really need Lea's help, maybe she tricked him into making a bad deal, but he made it and it probably had an effect on him.

In Storm Front, Harry channels lighting to blast the toad demon while protecting Susan.  That took something out of him.

In Fool Moon, Harry never felt as low as when Murphy arrested him because she thought he was holding out information or directly had a hand in Kim Delaney's death.  Murphy chipped his tooth as well.

Also in Fool Moon, Harry was shot in shoulder when Tera West helped him escape police custody.

In Grave Peril, Harry feels responsible for the deaths of the innocents at Bianca's party.  Even though they might have all been dead before Harry torched Bianca's place.

In Small Favor, Harry was starting to suffer from hypothermia while waiting in the water on the reef off of Demonreach island while for Thomas to rescue him.

In Ghost Story Harry finds out that trying to go through walls painted with Ghost Dust is very painful.

In Storm Front Harry was jumped by the thug who was betraying his boss Marcone for Victor Sells.  The second time he had his hair cut and taken which traumatized him.

In Summer Knight Grum was beating Harry pretty good until Lea pretended to be an upset neighbor who had called the police.

In Proven Guilty Harry realized his macho antics of doing an extended beat down on the alien looking Fetch, may have contributed to the death of one of the Fetch's victims.  She bled out while the fight was going on.  Harry was pretty upset about that.

When Madrigal Raith was auctioning off Harry on Ebay, he had to dislocate his hand to get out of the handcuffs.  Even with Lash's help it was very painful.

In White Night Harry fell through the ice and nearly drowned.  Either a bullet bounced off his bullet proof duster and gave him a concussion or he hit his head on the ice and suffered a concussion.

After the duel Lara nearly ate Harry, but he kind of enjoyed that.

If I remember any more I will post them.

Someone else expressed what I am about to say much better in another thread which I can't find, but it goes something like this:

What Mab said was a lie, but it was a lie that she believed.  She wasn't knowingly telling a lie.

Considering that the church thought Lasciel's coin was in a monastery in Chile when Nicodemus offered it to Harry, I would say that it is quite possible that Nicodemus stole it again while no one was looking and gave it to someone else.

Don't you get the feeling that at some point Harry is going to have a conversation with Lasciel, I mean Lasciel and whatever poor fool took up her coin?

The soul gaze didn't reveal Eb was the WC assassin.  You would think that killing people; not just bad guys but innocents who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, would stain a person after a while.  Remember Eb has been the Blackstaff for almost two centuries (He mentions New Madrid as one of his hits. Those earthquakes occurred in 1811-12.), and people can change over time.

I'm not saying I believe Eb is BC, but I can see why others would think he could be.

Who is behind it all?

And what are they planning next?

I have a feeling the Black Council is a very loose confederation.  Sort of like the heirs of Kemmler; in that they seek a common goal, but that doesn't mean they like each other and won't stab each other in the back any chance they get.

I doesn't appear that every major bad guy we have seen is part of the BC.  So there might be more than one party pulling strings.  There could be some not so nice characters who have their own agenda and would oppose the BC for their own reasons.  Harry might be forced to make alliances of convenience to fight the BC.  For example, there has been some speculation in a couple of threads that at some time in the future Harry might be forced to work with a hated enemy like Nicodemus, against a more immediate threat from a BC member.

That would be fun to see, though I doubt a Harry/Nic partnership; even a temporary one, will ever occur.
