hey as I am working my way through the city creation section it strikes me that there will over time be a huge amount of data about each city we create in the Dresdenverse. Including, themes, threats, Aspects, faces, history (pre and post play). It would be very cool to have this information in a searchable electronic format. I've never built a data base before so I was wondering if anyone out there might be willing to try to put one together that a GM could use to organize and possably share the cities we create. If no one does I'll give it a shot and post the results.
BTW just looking at the Forum set up and noticed no way to attach files is there somewhere better to share product like this?

A Wiki would probably be the best way to compile a set of Dresdenised cities. As a wiki is also collaborative, many people could contribute to the effort and you could build up a large database of cities to play in.

It sounds like a good idea to me.

To get us started, I've created a Wiki over at WikiDot: http://dresdenfilesrpg.wikidot.com/
I've created it as a closed site to try and reduce the chance of spamming. I'll check the membership lists here for applications, so it'd help to use the same handle or nickname. I'll also be allowing members to invite others.
I've not got started on the front page or anything yet, it's all pretty raw. I'll be looking at creating template pages for the city, locations and faces.
Open for a world of Dresden.

Make sure the FateRPG Yahoo Group folks know about the wiki -- there's been discussion over there about needing something, too.

The Wiki is also a good idea. However what I was intending was more of a tool for individual games so that sharing of info would be an option while maintaining the integrity of individual games. My New York and yours may differ a lot. A data base file that mimics the city creation and character sheets would be easy to fill in and edit during the creation process and easy to access and search during play as opposed to leafing through stacks of locations and NPC sheets as the PCs move about the city and interact with others.

Just added a page for Spokane, Wa to the Wiki how do I get it to show up on the Cities drop down menu?

Obsidian portal ( http://www.obsidianportal.com/?gclid=CM_t17KSy54CFY915Qodd3rBrA) is a pretty good site for that kind of thing.

I've added a link for editing the top menu on to the menu along the side. Still not completely sure on the notepad theme, though this seems to fit best with the RPG books.

Thanks. Aiden has dropped me a mail, to which I've replied.
