DFRPG / Re: Does the poison from fists ignore toughness armour?
« on: March 06, 2011, 06:45:50 PM »
I can see a way around in a way: if the claws hit the character for damage, then poison applies, because in most cases that would mean that through clawing or whatever means the poison has entered the blood stream. Although that still leaves quite a few open endings.

DFRPG / Re: Weapons and Aspects

How about handing it sorta like potions? Have a stunt which is supposed to reflect modified weapons, which gives 1 ( or maybe 2) modified slots, so to say. You can do 1 of 2 things with these slots: 1. either declare at the beginning of the mission what kind of mod you have, e.g. maybe silver bullets, laser-sights, or a night-vision scope. OR you could leave it empty, and by spending a Fate point you can declare what kind of mod you have e.g. so you say we are surrounded by monsters on all sides? My assault rifle has has an extended clip which gives +2 to my weapons roll when using spray attack, take that!! Or something similar.

IMHO I'm thinking that ANG would require not merely a sponsor .. but also the other local signatories to say Aye!  ANG should be outside the conflicts of the Accords, ie "we don't fight here"  A place where no one member has undue influence or pull, a place where agendas are not active (talked about, but not implemented).  Starting something there would likely bring reprisal from ALL the other members of the Accords, as it would/could be considered as a strike against the detente that the Accords create.  I don't think either of the Queens would be willing to use Marcone's favorite Italian Bistro as NG simply because its "his bistro", with all the people employed there answering to him.  The way I see it, any ANG should be a place that all agree is outside their petty (or not so petty) disagreements, and can not be targeted.

That's what I think as well. while Mab's agreement is necessary to make it official, the local forces should need to sponsor it as well, other wise it's meaningless. I mean, it's not hard to hire a few thugs and get an ANG burned down inf you're not interested, and there are ways to make it difficult to track them back to you.

DFRPG Resource Collection / Re: Spare Character Concepts

Chosen by Death

High Concept: Wordly Representative of Death
Trouble: Dead End Job
Other aspects: haven't thought them out yet...

Powers:
Marked by Power (-1)
Living Dead (-1)
Ghost Speaker (-1)

Skills:
Intimidation +5
Guns+4
Contacts+4
Burglary +3
Investigation+3
Lore+3
Athletics+2
Stealth+2
Endurance +2
Deceit+2
Driving+1
Craftsmanship+1
Resources+1
Empathy+1
Rapport+1

Just a half-character so far, but he's kind of a gumshoe, like Harry, chosen by Death after his death... and getting the short end of the stick. He can't die by most means, but he can't heal either, he can talk to ghosts... who are most of his clients actually. He has some spare money, because he doesn't need to eat, breathe, sleep, or drink. He gets some jobs from good old Reaper, with nothing to them with: e.g. kill that blampire!! With what? You have a gun, don't you? Or something like that.

The threshold can act as a limit towards the damage of the evocation, or maybe even the number of "landmines" that can be contained

I have a character idea, another Young Warden, could I post it up here?

Beacon of light for the hopeless.

Invoke: you're well liked by those lesser off, and you may even have a reputation for protecting them. +2 for contacts and investigation roles when these lesser off guys come into play.

Compel: Come into play they come, often asking for help, plus also, you cannot let innocents get hurt while you're in the vicinity.

I used to go bump into the night

DFRPG / Re: An idea: more faerie knights?
« on: April 09, 2010, 10:36:47 AM »
I was thinking of maybe doing Winter and Summer Squires, who instead of being a human representative of the courts, would be the commandos/spies of them. They would be recruited for their talent in deceit and lying, something Fae are incapable of. Instead of S/Uns magic, they would get glamours as basic stuff.

DFRPG / Aspectify the Main Characters
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:10:14 AM »
I thought it would be fun to make up aspects for the characters for the novels. The 'canon' aspects are probably already done in the book, but that doesn't mean that we can't have fun :D.

Harry:
"Bob, wake up! We've got work to do"
Invoke: You've got a Wizardpedia, a source of magical knowledge from everywhere.
Compel: which likes to play hard to get sometimes, and it would be unhealthy to let it leak that you've         got it

Outdated, suicidal Chivalry:
Invoke: Whenever you try to rescue a child or a female, or help them in some way, you may get bonuses for it.
Compel: But you can't turn them down. Even if they're obviously evil. And hot.

Let's whip up some others guys! :D

Protective Patron
Your chosen Patron has taken a shine to you, a special attention. S/he/It's always watching over you, and while there is an agreement that your mind is off limits, your body is free to play with

Invoke: Your Patron does not want you to get hurt, and it looks out for you in the long run. It may send warnings, or it may use more direct method, granting one of the Inhuman characteristics for a limited time, but only your patron decides when and where to use this aid.

Compel: Your Patron may have peculiar ideas about what it means to be safe. No junk food, no Coke or alcohol, definitely no drugs. No pre-marital sex, maybe no sex at all (just think about those nasty STDs)! It may also take over your body for limited time, maybe to run away from a fight and leave all your friends there. Yay for free will!
