DF Spoilers / Re: Dresden and Lara
« on: January 22, 2021, 10:09:17 PM »
Plus, at some point Thomas leaves the island.  Certainly he will have been changed by the experience.  He might even become a KotC.

I can totally see Jim creating a creature deathly allergic to love, take up the sword of love. It just seems like the thing Butcher would want to do, or have it planned out. Sword of Faith, wielded by a Jewish Knight of the Cross, the Sword of Hope, wielded by an Atheist Knight of the Cross, and finally the Sword of Love being wielded by a White Court Knight of the Cross; He does this, despite the risk of death to himself, all in the name of the love he has for Justine? Especially now that she has been taken by Nemesis. We already know that a vampire of the Red Court (Ok, yes, half-turned), when focused on what she truly loves, can take up the sword and wield it, in the name of love. I can totally see Thomas doing the same for Justine, or using the sword to help keep his inner demon in check. Not to mention the fact that he is technically related to "Royalty". His father WAS the White King, and I am sure he comes from a long line of WC Royalty (although that last bit I have no source reference on). With the swords being wielded by the descendants of Royalty, and do to the current circumstances of him fighting his demon so he can Love again, I think he is a shoe in.

*Spoilers*
So, after listening to the book a second time, something occurred to me. If this has been brought up before, please let me know.

So, what I am thinking is...when it was time for Harry and Justine to leave for the Island, Harry made a point that he wasn't going to walk there (the Beach, where the Blue Beetle is docked), understandable for what he went through the past few hours... so he ends up riding Mab's personal Steed and focus of Magic, much like his own staff. Along with Justine. We know Harry's Starborn status protects him from Nemfection...so him being so close to Justine by riding horse back, not a big deal.

But what about the Steed itself? If Cat Sith, Lea, Maeve, Aurora, and a dagger could be infected, I don't see why a unicorn couldn't, and thus spread its infection into Mab. I don't know about you guys, but Mab becoming Nemfected? That sort of screams "Apocalypse", especially since a nemfected Mab (Nab?) could just open the outer gates.

DF Books / Re: Release TIME of Battlegrounds Audiobook?

Hmmm. Ok. Going to keep refreshing my preorder.

Edit: So it's 11:15 pm here. I'm in central US. Not yet. The fact that it passed 12:00AM on the east coast, this make  me think they will wait for the entire country to have access to it. Meaning...2am is possibility. I'm still holding on to hope that it will release in 40 minutes, but meh. I've been waiting for these two books for 5 years. I can wait another couple of hours.
Edit 2: Looks like we are going with Pacific Standard time for release. Oh well. Just 2 more hours.

Edit 3: 2:03 am. Still do not have access from audible. Going to wait around another 10 minutes, to see if anything chances. Then it's bed time

DF Books / Release TIME of Battlegrounds Audiobook?
« on: September 28, 2020, 07:28:26 PM »
Apologies if a similar question has been ask before, I couldn't find it. I also hope this is the right topic to be posting this. Now, onto the question:

What time do Penguin and other places like Audible make the audiobooks available. Midnight? Sometime the next morning? I ordered the book of course, but If I can listen to it even 12 hours early, overnight, that would be amazing. So, compared to past audiobook releases, what time do they generally make them available for download?
