Hey to all I need some help trying to locate some information. Specifically I am trying to find the names and roles of the Fallen Angels from BEFORE the war in Heaven. IE who were they and what did they do? I can only find the current names and roles for either Angels or the Fallen.
Yes this is for a character for the DFRPG and/or possibly a story. I have a character who is Fallen but has no idea who they are or were. wanted it to be some kind of angel of Healing or Mercy who abhorred the War and refused to fight on either condemning both and getting cast out for it. I found the names of Rhamiel (Angel of mercy and love) and Raphael (Angel of healing) but I'd prefer to find another name, if possible.

Honestly, if you just look up 'Angel Names' you will get tons of hits.
Basically, the canonical Bible and the Torah (which, yes, is included as the very beginning of said Christian Bible) only give a few angel names. Most others come from various Hebrew stories.
Here's an example site (yes, terrible layout and whatnot, but pretty good breakdown for names - obviously avoid the variations of 'Angel').

Some interesting stuff on there, though I noticed all of the female names were simply variations on "Angel" at least according to that.
Otherwise its pretty much the same names I've already be finding. What I'm really looking for is a list of what the Demons did before the war; what was Abaddon's Role before he fell? Who was Asmodeous before he fell? Did they have different names?
May be searching for something that does not exist.

You could try looking into the Apocrypha and Gnostic texts. Dunno if that kinda stuff will be in there-haven't read em yet, but they're supposed to be the books that were left out when the Bible was put together.

Angels aren't really male or female so as far as the names... <shrug>
Book(s) of Enoch will be your best bet historically.

Good luck and enjoy!

I find that wikipedia is pretty good at giving a background of individual angels and demons.
We had a similar discussion about Archangels here (http://www.jimbutcheronline.com/bb/index.php/topic,21068.0.html).

The reference you really want here is Gustav Davidson's Dictionary of Angels. Full of fascinating stuff, though it is crazy-makingly disorganised.
